I'm playing as Marlins (carryover), Rockies (fantasy), and Nats.

I do have a Red Sox franchise (new), but I might have played it the least so far.

Chicago fan-both Cubs and White Sox. My baseball world rotates between all 30 teams, one series at a time. CPU does all the managing. I GM all the teams with one eye on the real MLB, but only replicating moves that make sense as my season goes along. I use franchise mode, but only play one season because I hate the whole off season experience. I don't care for the "business of baseball" at all, apart from making trades and signing players during the season. I am into the day-to-day grind and drama of the 162-game marathon. I have played this way since 1987 on the Commodore-64. I do hope for a Crosstown Sox-Cubs World Series in my world, which has never happened. Last year, led by AL Cy Young winner Jeff Samardzija and MLB RBI-leading Jose Abreu, my White Sox advanced to the World Series, only to lose in seven to the LA law firm of Kershaw, Gonzalez and Puig. That was the Sox first Fall Classic appearance. The Cubs? Still waiting...oh well.

Played as the Astros couple years ago and Cubs past two since they had good farm systems. This year ill be back to my favorite the Braves since they are abysmal and I want to turn it around.

I play all games with the Cubs, but also play most with my favorite AL team the Rays. I also play occasional games of other teams if I like a certain starting pitcher for that day. 30 team control is nice.

Not all heroes wear capes. Playing in the trop is like stabbing my eyes with a wooden stake.

That's the team I'm using this year. I recently moved to AZ, so figured between this game and watching games on TV, it'd give me a good sense of what this team was all about. There's definite potential with this roster.

I try not to use my favorite team often. Like others have said, I get too invested in the players.

I am not this season. The Cubs are too good, and I like building up teams. I picked Seattle, but it turns out they're pretty good in the game, too, as I'm leading the Wild Card race at the ASB.

Always. I don't like using my favorite teams in any sports video games. I am too attached to the players and never want to make any changes.

I prefer to pick a mid to low tier team and try to rebuild them. That way I am not attached to the current roster or prospects and feel more comfortable making moves.

I am a Red Sox fan and this year will be trying to get the Pirates over the hump.

Not always, but sometimes I do this. I do this mainly in Madden and NBA 2K too

I usually try and re-build the worst team in the game, so either Phillies, Braves or Brewers.

After playing for years with the real, fictional (most played) and fantasy draft Red Sox. I'm using the 1987 classic roster and doing a franchise with the Yankees for a change. I never thought I would see the day but I have quickly become invested in my 1987 Yankees team. Perhaps thats something I couldn't do if it was with a current roster and the 2016 Yankees!

I've always loved playing as my favorite team, but that was also because most of my teams have been rebuilding/cellar-dwellers in the past (Tampa Bay Bucs, Chicago Cubs, and Milwaukee Bucks). Now that the Bucs have gotten their franchise QB, I've turned to using different teams in Madden. I still use the Milwaukee Bucks because while the core is in place, I just love playing as Giannis and Jabari.

With this game, I want to play as the Cubs I think, but I'm also nervous that they're simply too good at this point. I'm considering doing a franchise where I control two teams: The Cubs and a rebuilding team in the American League.

I'm not sure which team I would choose in the AL though. They aren't exactly a bad team, but I'm considering possibly using the Yankees and seeing if I can build them back into being a powerhouse again while also controlling the Cubs in the NL.

I've never just really been a diehard of any professional sports team...so I don't have this problem.

I almost always use my favorite teams. In the past, I've used other teams and had a lot of fun - mainly due to the lack of attachment. But then I always feel guilty (weird, I know) when I see my real-life team struggling in the game.

For The Show, particularly, it probably makes more sense to not use your favorite team. Playing as the Braves all the time, I don't get to see the AL stadiums or use the DH very often. It can be a nice change of pace using an AL team. Every time I've not used the Braves, it's always been with an AL team.

Back when I played Madden/NHL/2K/MLB, I always wanted to pick a city that had pro teams in all four sports and just roll with that city's teams for one gaming cycle. For whatever reason, I never followed through on that plan.

When The Show came out this year, I thought about doing a Royals/Chiefs combo with Madden, but wound up sticking with Braves/49ers ... at least for now.

Online Franchise Reds and Offline Franchise Reds. No do not play with other teams in franchise.

Yankees. Always the Yankees.

Now with classic season replays and this year doing a single team control fantasy draft franchise I change things up.

In the past with classic rosters I have played as the Royals, Red's, Mariners, Dodgers, A's, Giants etc. And for my fantasy team I chose the Cardinals as I want to play in the NL central parks a lot. Plus I love Mike Matheny as a manager.
