Timing window for pure analog hitting?

Re: Timing window for pure analog hitting?
if you are using the stride it is what you make it. some guys have different strides and you need to start them earlier. i've heard people say that the stride is just cosmetic and that you can start it whenever it feels comfortable but that is simply not true. it matters a whole lot and it varies from pitcher to pitcher. this is one of the main disadvantages of zone is that if a guy throws really hard and you are playing on legend you won't be able to pull an inside pitch.(at least i never can) the batter generally has to be in his own personal unique 'hammer position' by the time the ball is released and his foot down when the ball is halfway to the plate. a lot of what my batter's do visually affects my timing but i am certain the stride is a huge factor in deciding how much power you can generate on your hits as well as your timing. -

Theres no stride feedback implemented this year so how can it be a factor? They had to patch it in and it does not affect your pci.

Re: Timing window for pure analog hitting?
I used to play zone and center swung. When I migrated to 16 I played around with all the interfaces and almost settled on analog (flick) before messing with sliders and finally making directional work for me.
I'd have to say the timing window is somewhere in between the two, but it's probably closer to zone than directional. Hard to tell though.Comment

Re: Timing window for pure analog hitting?
Why would there be stride feedback if each individual batter has a separate and unique way of timing the pitch? That would just be confusing because no two strides or batters are really the same so it would be impossible for the game to give feedback. Even when there was feedback did you ever notice that you could be just early and get good power but if you tried to time it the same with the next guy it would yield different results. Sometimes you could be just late. People would come on here complaining that they didn't understand the stride timing. If you can post a video of you playing on legend using a righty with a long stride vs Kimbrel and start it after Kimbrel releases and still pull a high inside pitch consistently then I will bow down but until then ...Comment
