Do you manually train your players?

Was wondering if anyone else manually trains their players and how they go about it. Personally I train in areas that I feel will benefit the individual and change this once a month. So for instance if a player is weak in contact and fielding, in April I'll do contact and then in May I'll do fielding.

Also, for injured players I train on durability in hopes of getting the player to return as quickly as possible. Not sure if it works, but it seems like a smart thing to do...LOL.

    So how do you train?
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

In previous years, I used manual training for most of my players and put thought into it like you describe. However, I'm being lazy so far this year and just setting them all to auto. Same with my scouts, but I did spring for some more expensive and better scouts.

I usually train anyone B-pot or better unless a veteran. I'll do C on a case-by-case basis (are they low OVR but with a couple high areas that can be maximized to give him a niche, etc).

Generally, I'm focusing on either what would make me use him in the majors, maximizing an existing strength if that will make him really, really good in that area (say a kid with high power and decent contact at 19, I'll focus on power until it's around 90, then fill him out - likely on defense), or filling a key weakness (like a CF or SS with lowish fielding, I'll work on that first since I'm not calling up a bad defender at those positions unless forced).

I manually train all my players at the MLB level.

I usually bolster any skills that are decaying, and if none are currently dropping I work on their weaknesses as long as they will benefit at their current position.
