Carryover Saves: SCEA Please Support Us

I'm on vacation still, so I'll keep this short, but I'm shocked it's now May and carryover saves still don't import stats and morale properly.

I simply wanted to gather us all together in support of getting this fixed. No need to bash anything or anyone; we just want the mode we were so optimistic about and put so much work into to function properly.

Seconded, this is an incredible feature.

We simply need it to work with each iteration of the franchise.

Not sure if this is part of the problem this year but if a player who was in the league in 2014 and 2015 but is no longer in the league in 2016 he is placed with a generic player and skin tone in MLB 16. Has this always been the case since year to year saves was introduced?

Yes. Legally, this is what's required. Keep a 15 backup to reference when you come across these guys.

Unfortunately, yes (licensing issues). The bright side is that generic player is a CAP, so you can edit him back into whomever you want.

It would be cool if maybe in future iterations, SCEA allowed in-franchise player importing to make this easier for people. I'm not sure what kind of constraints there are with that though.

They've already said nothing can be done about the stats because previous editions didn't track the same stats year to year that this does. My carryover had the stats from last year fine (HR, RBI, AVG).

My biggest issue with my carryover were guys changing skin color (Delmon Young was white for some reason), and losing draft picks from the previous draft. Morale reset after the season, so that wasn't a big deal for me

Exactly. Can't import what didn't exist.

Well damn, I have a carry-over chise since MLB 14 on Ps-3 n a RRTS player. I've been hoping for a fix for carry over chises before I dive back into them. I guess I just need to load them up n play?? My carry over chise is in like August so I guess that Morale won't hurt much.

I don't have an RTTS carryover, but my primary franchise is one that was carried across two versions (from MLB14 to 16) and it's fine, imo.

Just keep your original as backup so you can repeat the process if things do drastically improve. Then you can take advantage of the improvements.

Think will start my carry-over back tonight. I'm in 2018 season and kind of "attached to this chise". Lol.

So is morale the only issue at this point? I know hometowns were an issue but I believe that was fixed (if it applies to carry over saves too)? Understood the new stats can't be included. I think someone also mentioned either prospects or draftees were disappearing. I just passed the year two draft on 15 and got a stud so I don't want to lose him. I think I'm holding out on 16 until morale is patched or I finish the season. Over 60 games in now.

I hear ya. My Marlins are in 2021 and I'm attached as well!

I can only speak for mine, but my carryover from 15 was in the playoffs. When I advanced to the next season, every team had lost all but 1 of their draft picks from the previous season.

I also had players changing skin colors, and I got the 1st career HR glitch and I had already saved past the 1st game, so I couldn't fix it.

The hometown got annoying too as all of the players that were drafted were from the Netherlands, so that showed up a lot

The issue though is that BB, IBB, and HBP aren't being carried over. These stats existed in prior versions and aren't being carried over. Thus, OB% is the same as AVG. Others too like stolen base info, IIRC.

I can understand some of the advanced metrics, but these are already in the game.

Thanks for passing along the dev info.

Also, the morale issue still exists? I haven't checked since before patch 1.04.

                              Not tracked year to year.

The new player card tracks those stats year to year and career.

For example, if I look at Bo Winter - he started in 2018. Currently in 2021.

The best it could do is somehow pull them from the current year (2021) page on his MLB15 player card. That would do nothing for 2018-2020 so his career totals would still be inaccurate. Those older stats simply do not exist.

It would look even worse for someone like Chris Davis, who's been playing since MLB14. I mean seeing him having, 60 walks in 7 seasons is no more accurate than 0 walks.
