    Check swing HR wtf?

I am playing a game now, and the eighth hitter in the A's order checked his swing...problem is he made contact with the ball and hit a HR. Not exactly realistic.

What he didn't know the hitter was Mr. Muscle of America that hit the HR with the check swing. LOL!

I can't recall who, but, it has happened in real life. Sid Bream comes to mind, and it was a grand slam.

Well video game baseball has come a long way... it used to be possible to bunt a HR:

There is no way to know for sure, but I think the OP is referring to a kind of swing animation that gets triggered when you commit to an inside pitch that comes in very tight (e.g., slider coming inside almost hitting the batter). I don't think that swing animation is meant for a check swing, but it surely looks awkward when it happens...

Do you mean the swing animation that triggers the commentary, "it looks like he's swinging a garden hose out there"?

Yup happened to me to in a MoM game. Same team as well. Don't remember though which spot in the order. I actually had to watch the replay to believe what I just say.
