Polo Grounds Defensive Shift annoyances

I recently bought Polo Grounds and had my first game last night. Before first pitch, I went into the menu and changed Defensive Shift from Auto to Manual. Then I went into Defense Positioning and shifted my LF and RF towards center Field (Shift Duration=Always).

Dee Gordon was at-bat so I went into Quick Shifts and chose Bunt Defense. Everything appeared fine. Next batter comes up and I notice my OF shifts have been reset! Next time Dee Gordon comes up I go back into Defense Positioning this time (instead of quick shifts) and customize my Bunt Defense for Dee Gordon. This still messes up the OF for the next batter. Is there something I'm doing wrong or could this be a Defensive Positioning oversight.

To add insult to injury, the 1.0.4 patch reduced the time limit from 6 minutes to 5 minutes. Why was this change made?

Ya this is a problem imo. Theres no workaround u just have to reset it everytime

did you turn off auto shifts under user settings > gameplay options via main menu?

Yes I did do this.

When I play the CPU things are okay as long as I adjust the defense for each and every individual batter in the lineup. If a pinch hitter comes up I'd have to adjust accordingly. If I decide to make a change mid-game like bring the infield in I bet everything will get messed up.
