Re: Player Morale
The Show's Sale -- 2 yrs. @ $40 million =(I exaggerate, he's merely unhappy not angry lol)
White Sox IRL Sale -- same 2 yrs. less than $22 million.
I have no problem with players attributes dropping over money squabbles, that really makes it that much more interesting for me personally, but what does grind my gears is players who lose attribute points for not having a top tier coach. Sale actually takes a bigger hit loss on that than money.T-BONE.

Amazing how many guys are concerned about that, too.
One thing it made me do, though, is to drop some money on my coaching staff. I usually try to keep at least decent ones, especially Farm Director and Manager, but I'm spending more, especially on the base coaches, than usual, looking for A-grade type coaches."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: Player Morale
Exactly. I thought it was very weird as well (not to mentioned negatively affect morale). I will try that when I play this weekend. Thanks for the tip.Comment

Re: Player Morale
The thing that confuses me is that I'll re-sign a player, buy out his Arb years and a couple FA years to keep costs down long term, but give him a little bump earlier and then the first season he's already upset.
I could see him getting upset as they approach the last Arb year/FA years of the deal, but year 1 makes little sense to me as you just signed this contract in the off-season re-upped for 7 years and you're already miserable, why sign the deal then? Why not just go the Papelbon route via Arbitration?

Re: Player Morale
After 7 games Brian McCann is hitting 043 with 0 hrs and 1 rbi.
Under stats expectation he is expecting ALL sTAR numbers and he is MEETING those expectations according to player morale. lol wtf
actually all my guys are MEETING it in that section.
sounds buggy.Last edited by econoodle; 05-10-2016, 11:21 AM.Comment

Maybe it hasn't "checked" yet because it's still very early (just 7 games)?"Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: Player Morale
Chris Sale is unhappy with his Show contract, & he's geting more than his real-life counterpart.

IRL he just signed a new deal for 2 years, in the game he's unhappy with that salary. Because we all know guys sign deals that they are instantly unhappy with.
Lucky for me he's been putting up gaudy numbers so his OVR isn't affected negatively, but given the year he's had you'd expect him to go the other way, not be angry about his contract(which you can't even fix until after the first season, otherwise I would give this guy a 30mil deal over 7 years).Comment
