To buy or not to buy, that is the question.

As Shakespeare once said, and im sure he was talking about his pre-order decision on MLB The Show ... do I buy or not!

There are so many threads that ive been reading and I hate, hate myself for reading negative posts, as I let them sway me more than I should.

However the long and short of it is; I have 15, enjoyed it, but got a bit bogged down and never really fully appreciated it in its fullest.

Now is 16 a significant upgrade on a fully patched 15, not just in terms of rosters etc - but would I really get more out of the graphical advancements, little things and mainly, the most important thing to me, Franchise Mode.

Thats my bread and butter as such, of course its nice to have some jam on there, but if the bread is stale and the butters not spread nicely... then it could be the best looking jam in the world, im not enjoying that slice.

Anyway, I suppose im just asking for some re-assurance that ill get my moneys worth as a Franchise player and that the bugs and niggles the game has (from what ive read), will not overly detract from that experience.

Thanks for taking your time to read, I appreciate these posts are a ball-ache to some.

They make sure there is ALWAYS a reason to buy the newest version. So because you are leaning towards it - just do it because you know you will sooner or later.

Yea - there are some problems but you get that every year but they always off set the negatives.

I've owned every version of The Show, and this is about the most fun I've had with any version of the game. Yes it has some bugs, but my biggest gripe with The Show(the fielding) has been improved quite a bit.

You know the honeymoon period is over for me and I thought that I'd be a little less impressed with 16 by this point, but I'm still floored by how good this game is. I wouldn't describe any one thing as the single reason to buy it, but there are so many little things that make such a huge difference in 16, it just comes together so well. Took some finagling with sliders to get it right for me, but that will change from person to person.

The only real downsides are the bugs. The has been one of the best, but also one of the rockiest releases of the show. I've yet to encounter any truly game breaking ones though.

My personal biggest highlight from this year's release are the animations. It wasn't what I was looking forward to the most pre-release, but the improvements are so numerous and are of such higher quality I can't help but fall in love with them. Makes 15 look like it's full of robots by comparison.

Thanks for the replies, Sony have my £40 now.

Interestingly the success (so far) of using the PS4 via remote play, which ive just setup, made me pull the trigger. Even purchased the game sat in front of my PC via remote play.
