Re: Up by 5+? Don't sim the rest of game!
I fast forward to the end and keep my thumb on the "enter game" button. Learned that lesson one too many times. As soon as the tying run comes up to bat I jump back in before he can homer and tie it up

I don't sim at all any more but back when I did I only simmed my offensive half innings. I never, EVER simmed defence.Comment

Made this mistake up 9-0 in the 5th, had a no-hitter ruined with Estrada on a chop single in the infield, figured "ok just sim to the end now that the no-hitter got wrecked", simmed and pressed "to end of game", and I ended up winning 11-10 in extra innings, the relievers came in the 7th and 8th and put up 5 ER each, thanks to that my BP ERA went from a solid 3 something to like 5+.Comment

Imagine simulating a game from start to top of 9th inning. I am ahead by 8-runs and choose to enter game and finish game. gonna get any easy win, right ?
well, I gave up enough runs to tie the game !!!!!!!
and 6-runs with 2-0uts !!!!
and had to go into extra innings to win the game !!!!!Comment

Re: Up by 5+? Don't sim the rest of game!
This is something I'm always paranoid of, so consequently I rarely ever sim the rest of a game. the only times I've done it this year is a game that went into extra innings and I was tired and simply just done playing for the night, and the other time I just didn't have enough time to finish, lucky for me I came out victorious both times.Comment
