Love my Gold headset...

I like to play 'loud' and late at night I do this when I'm playing BF4...

Battlefield (for me) just sounds SO MUCH better on the headset opposed to my surround sound.... (and I have a excellent BOSE system too...)

Hearing the bullets whip past my left ear, right ear, behind me, etc...the immersion is great.

As far as SPORTS titles, I like using the surround sound though.

For shooters....PICK UP the Gold set if you haven't already...

I have a 5.1 surround sound set up with Polk speakers so I'm not sure if I'd rather use the surround sound or the Gold headset.

So I am buying my Sony Gold headset tomorrow. I have downloaded the companion app already.

So once I have the headset and the app connected to it. Do you guys know if you still have to fiddle with volume levels. As in the three commentators and PA, crowd and all of that. Or is that kinda what the app does. It sets all of that up perfectly for you?

I have the Sony Golds but since I bought my Astro A50 I never use them. But really I don't use headphones much as the wife works nights so I usually just use my 7.1 surround sound.

There's already been an update in the companion app for 17

I think this is how people with the Plats need to enable the new 3d sound feature for this game
