After all these years, We finally did it..

I hope this is OK to post, I have played this game since it conception. Every version ever made. After hundreds and hundreds of played games through all these years. Today, May 15th 2016. We finally pitched the PERFECT GAME. We play franchise offline and coed in our league. One of us pitches, the other fields and we alternate batting..We switch pitching when we put in a reliever. Today we were playing Baltimore in Balt. Cory Kluber on the mound.. 9 perfect innings, No walks, no hits no eras.. 13 ks.. in a 1 to nothing victory.. Michael Brantley saved a game tied HR in the bottom of the 9th by jumping against the wall. I know this is just a game, But i can not tell you how much pressure we felt and the joy that came in the end. I have played this game for years, and at 65, I'll probably never get to see this again. Thanks for letting me share..

    That's awesome, dude! Congratulations!

I've never pitched a perfect game, but I got a no-hitter with Lincecum playing 13, and it was super fun.

Congratulations, that must have felt amazing to accomplish after so long! I had a no hitter online and lost it on the first batter in the 9th yesterday. The chase continues.

Congratulations bud! The closest I've ever gotten was a 2 hit, no walks, no errors complete shutout by the Shark playing with my Giants in Pittsburgh. Ironically the two hits came in the first and 9th inning.

Congratulations! I've been 2 outs away in the 9th with David Price and had one ricochet off the Green Monster for a hit. It was pretty soul-crushing. Lol! Glad you pulled it off.

Re: After all these years, We finally did it..

Thanks so much guys, After all this time, I was really believing that it couldn't be done, I had come so close so many times, only to feel that let down disappointing angry feeling when it didn't happen.I just thought the game wouldn't allow it. I wish I could say I did it alone, but we alternated pitching by each inning. It was kind of funny, by the 6th inning, We were looking at each other wondering which one of us were going to blow it. By the 9th I was shaking so bad I could hardly hold the controller. When Gary fielded that last ground ball and threw the guy out, for a second, we just looked at each other, Then we were on our feet screaming, hugging, jumping up and down.. Then we just sat there for a few minutes letting it sink in. It may sound childish, but for those that love this game like I do, I really hope you get to experience that feeling. Now with each new game I play, I will pitch more carefully, be more aware that it can be done. I know it sounds silly, But I kinda feel like I joined the Mile High club.. and at my age, That's quite an accomplishment..

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.
