I'm not a fan of rainouts being in the game; even if it was a rain delay...it just makes no sense to me to put it in a video game in my perspective. I get rainouts occur in MLB but the % of these is very very low and it doesn't substantiate the cost to implement - at least from this fan's perspetive.

At the very least, this is how I think how rainouts would occur in SCEA world:

I spend 5 minutes picking my pitcher, lineup, scouting my opponent.

I start the game and see the tarp on the infield.

Suddenly, a presentation shows Goldschmidt and Trout:

I'm sure the team owners would be against this ! Injuries from goofing around !

As someone who watched some of the developer videos before the game came out, it always kinda bothered me when they said "baseball isn't a contact sport" as a way of justifying keeping collisions and these types of interactions out of the game.

But guess what, reality involves contact.
