I don't play with any of the "cheat stuff". PCI, guess pitch, hot/cold zone, strike zone all OFF.
I find most realistic way to play. omce you find the right camera angle that works for you to read pitches the best, you won't bit as often on pitches out the zone. I use Offset 2. Hitting is all read and react, just takes lil Patience @ the plate and you will get it. i use All Star hitting difficulty too so I don't have to be perfect with Zone as much.

Swinging early or late can raise/drop the PCI for you. just try to get it in the general area is what I do. It's almost an instinctual thing.

Here's another example, note you're not always going to be successful, but when you are it feels pretty great:

swinging late or early doesn't affect your pci placement. it's based on user input this year...unless you are using directional or pure analog.

Ive noticed that when you Circle, Square, or X, the controller vibrates. Is that the type of swing that you're selecting? (Contact, Normal, and power)?

I'm still with MLB 15; I have played baseball games/sims for decades, but I'm still a noob to this version.

I LOVE to read and react. Follow the pitch. Make contact at least. I have good reaction time for being 55 years old.

Sometimes, it seems that my tracing of the pitch and adjusting my swing doesn't matter in zone hitting.

              Please tell me it does!

One tip, do not be afraid to use power swing. Especially against pitchers with low h/9 or k/9. It's pretty simple to explain, larger pci = easier to hit. You will hit it with more authority if you square one up with power swing.
