Frequency of Wild Pitches Bouncing Off the Backstop, Returning to the Plate

Feels like it's just a bit out of whack. Maybe it's confirmation bias, or maybe I'm in a weird sort of slump, but the ball has taken a miraculous bounce enough times to the point where I no longer send my runner on 3rd home on wild pitches (unless I'm playing at Oakland Colosseum).

Pitches go through the wickets, bounce hard off the backstop, fly right back to the waiting catcher who puts the tag on the runner going home (or whatever).

Anyone else suffering from a bouncy backstop?
