    Infield shifts

Is it possible to make it where the CPU can't do the over shifts? I know it's a big part of baseball in today's game but I'd like to play without the cpu doing this but if it is an option I can't figure out how to turn it off.

There is no option that prevents the cpu from over shifting.

I suppose you could fire all of the managers who use the shift and replace them with managers who don't.

I had a somewhat unrelated question, but it probably doesn't warrant its own thread. I'm playing a franchise with the Pittsburgh Pirates and I'm about halfway through the first season. I'm playing the Athletics and they have a lefty on the mound and Fransico Cervelli is up to bat (RHB) and the defense is played for him to go the other way. They're in the same **** you use for Big Papi or Ryan Howard. So I pulled the ball down the 3rd base line for a double.

Is this a glitch? I was late on a pitch earlier in the game and went the other way for a base hit, but I haven't been going to right field every time he's up to bat though. Just thought it was an odd defense for them to be in.

The game plays Cervelli to hit the other way.

And I never remember this until after I've given up another double on a ground ball to third. Incredibly frustrating.

Yeah, its frustrating when the game shifts the fielders and you give up a hit to the vacant area. I got to the point that I turned shifts to manual so that I don't have to worry about it.
