Is there a defensive shift that stops the drag bunt between the pitcher and the 2B?

Bunts down the first base and third base lines are pretty easy to throw out using the normal bunt defense shift.

But I haven't found a good shift yet that stops the people online who drag bunt the ball in the area between the pitcher and the second baseman.

The pitcher usually just stands there and doesn't react to the ball in time to make a play on it. And the ball usually doesn't travel far enough for the second baseman to pick it up and throw it in time to get the out at first.

Only one I can think of is maybe infield in?

That should put the 2B on the edge of the infield grass (as opposed to playing closer to the outfield grass). Maybe that would get the 2B there faster?

The only problem there, though, is that if they see that and swing away...then you just get the downsides of a drawn-in infield.

Why can you shift infield to play lefties to pull but not righties?

You can but you have to do it manually, it's not set up as one of the quick shifts.

Ah ok thanks. You're referring to the one where I would set that shift for the entire game on a particular batter? So say I do that. Then that batter cones up with a runner on 1st. It would still shift and I'd have to go in and set my infield to double play?

Yes. Any manual shift you set will override the auto-shifts.

A fastball on the top of the zone should kill off that bunt quick enough.
