Since this happened I have been thinking about a new TV. I hooked up my PS4 to our 32 inch LED TV that is a year old and the difference in colors was amazing. It was pretty surprising to me that there was so much more detail to the field surfaces and player models. What I also noticed is that I was much quicker at the plate. After a few rounds of BP I noticed that I could get to high and inside pitches a little more consistently and found that initially I was ahead of everything but I adjusted pretty easily. My question is does it help to play on a smaller TV or does this sound like an input lag issue with my old TV. I don't mind playing on a smaller TV but I'd like to buy a new 55" or 60". The ONLY game that I play is The Show, I bought my old TV a PS3 and MLB 08 together hoping to enjoy The Show as much as I did MVP 2005, and I have. About all I play is offline franchise. Any opinions on what the best TV (picture, size, input lag etc.) for playing The Show on would be appreciated. I apologize for such a long winded post.

Best TV to play The Show on??
I have a couple of questions about televisions and would like some opinions. I currently play The Show on a Samsung 56" DLP 1080p that is about 10 years old. A couple of weeks ago my Direct TV wasn't working and when the tech came out he said that it was the resolution. I could set the resolution at 420I or 420p on the Direct TV box and it worked fine. (I guess it is not in HD anymore but I couldn't tell much difference at the time. I didn't realize a TV could just drop it's HD.)

Re: Best TV to play The Show on??
I play on a 55" Philips HD TV. We also have 2 other TV's in the home in our bedrooms. These are 32" HD TV's & 26" HD TV's. I've hooked my consoles up to all of these TV's before.
No doubt our 55" Philips looks the best for playing games including The Show. It also looks good on our 32" one as well but not so good on the 26" TV.
You must use a TV that's HD though. A plain SD TV will not look good at all even though you can still get it to work but doesn't look right.
I have a nephew that has a 70" HD TV & The Show on that TV looks so amazing. Like you're right there at the stadium but he also has a home theater system to aid in the effects for this game. His 70" HD TV is a Samsung.NCAA- GO VOLS
NBA- GO CELTICS
MLB- GO BRAVES
NFL- GO COWBOYS
NHL- GO PREDATORS
NASCAR- Chase Elliott
MLS- LA Galaxy

Re: Best TV to play The Show on??
I played on a 50" RCA once and couldn't hit to save my life from the lag. Game mode, etc. on and just couldn't hit although it was pretty (MLB12).
I play regularly on a 32" Sanyo. Worst remote control ever made but it's great for Playstation.
Not all TVs are equal either. That 50" RCA could play XBox games well without any lag but the PS3 that was on it was dreadful. Great for Netflix but less so for gaming.Comment

I use a 65in curved samsung 4k TV. Picture is amazing. No lag problem using game mode. I've also used the pc mode as suggested in a similar thread, and that had no lag either. Obviously the picture was amazing too.

Re: Best TV to play The Show on??
I have my PS4 set up to share the speakers and monitor from my computer. Took some extra chords and switches, but pretty easy to do. Just have to flip a switch to go back and forth between computer and PS4. Looks great on a 22 inch monitor played at the kind of distance you'd be at when sitting at a computer, and sounds fantastic via my bose computer speakers. Best part is that it keeps my actual TV free to have actual baseball games and other programs on.Comment

Gaming monitor changed my Show life. Went from Rookie hitting to Allstar hitting almost instantly. I use a 24" Benq monitor.Comment

Re: Best TV to play The Show on??
I have a 43" Samsung Plasma and a epson projector on a 120" screen and the massive size difference makes it a lot easier to see the location of pitches. My hitting has gone way up.
The projector cant match the plasmas beautiful colors, but it is so much bigger that I cant go back to playing The Show on my TV anymore.Comment

Re: Best TV to play The Show on??
When looking for a tv, I would suggest going to http://www.rtings.com/ . You can find the best tv by usage, movie/sports/video games. I got a new tv this spring, coming from a 10 year old Samsung DLP too, and used this to find the one I got. I ended up getting the Samsung JU6500, which has worked out well for me, as long as game mode is on, it has no noticeable input lag.Comment
