Advancing runners?

Does LB and RB work to advance/retreat runners? I'm using default baserunning and still can't get it to work. Bases loaded supposed to be a bases clearing double and I'm stuck with a single and a guy on 3rd because I'm jamming the hell out of the LB only to realize it's not working so now I have to individually send each runner to a base.
But man on first and third and pitchers throws a wild pitch, I accidentally hit LB and of course both runners want to advance.

What's the issue?

I havent had that particular issue but I have had two examples of base runner not advancing from 1st on an obvious single for an out. It happened twice in a game with the Tigers. Not sure if it's an issue or a one off thing.

Dont know if you are doing this or not but make sure you are holding L1/R1 to keep them running. Otherwise they will not advance until they are on the bag and you press L1/R1 (I forget which one is to advance and retreat ). If you want to send a runner back and they are mid path though I think you can just tap.

If you want to send a runner back and they are mid path though I think you can just tap.

Ahh I'll give this a shot and see if it helps. I remember prior years you could just tap either to advance all or retreat all and they'd go to the next base or return to previous.
Hope holding it solves the problem. because it is quite annoying, having runners in scoring position and hitting a double that merely becomes a single and only the man on 3rd scores because I have to individually advance each runner.

Yeah just pressing it once makes the runners allready on base only advance 1 base. So the outcome (runner on 3rd and 1st is correct. You should hold L1 until the batter is passed 1st base.

How do you steal just the runner on 1st with guys on 1st and 3rd

This is my only hate about this game. I've yet to find a way where you can steel from first without the guy from 3rd steeling home. Which 9 times out of 10 results in me hitting into a double play lol. It was fine pre patch.

Hold the L-Stick to the right to highlight the guy on 1st and then tap the L2 button. The runner from first will steal while the guy on 3rd doesn't.
