I had a ball bounce off the bottom of the wall and instead of fielding the ball normally the outfielder just ran into the wall. The play stopped and it was ruled a ground rule double even though the ball never left the field.Comment

I've had plenty of foul balls that were scored as homers. I've also had several balls that were scored as ground-rule doubles that shouldn't have been. Most recently, at Petco, I gave up a ground-rule double on a line drive that hit the side of that brick building, to the foul side of the paint/pole. It actually broke up a no-hitter, which ended up a complete game 1-hit shutout.Comment
