The CPU handling of the DL

This is my first MLB The Show that I have played a franchise mode on so I don't know if this has been a recurring issue. But how come when someone gets injured, the CPU ALWAYS puts them on the 15-day DL? Even for injuries like a broken ankle, torn ACL, torn Achilles' tendons with a 6+ month recovery time are placed on the 15-day DL. My team is the only one with players on the 60-day DL. It doesn't really bother me, was just curious is to why this is
