How do you guys deal with the online bunting?

I refuse to play against these idiots. I will quit the first time they use the tactic of bunting to the second baseman and the first baseman comes off the bag to take the ball leaving nobody at 1st.

It's bitchmade and the developers have to do something about it. It takes any user ability away.

If there is a defense that stops this, go ahead and tell me. I've tried bunting defense, 3B in, and all other ones and nothing stops it.

It's 2016, bugs like this should not be in a baseball game. Especially from a great developer and game such as this one.

Individually shift each player. Say they use Dee Gordon. Hit the pause button and go to defensive positioning. Then individually change position of each infielder. I usually do 3B - bunt defense, SS - normal, 2B - halfway or in - 1B corner in. Stops them from bunting anywhere. Keep it on "Always" for Dee Gordon and you won't have to do it every time he comes up to bat

Throw a changeup in the dirt if you think someone's going to bunt. You can't bunt a low changeup unless it hangs or misses high.

I personally would only play online agains a core group of individuals I respected & trusted to play fairly.
I surely don't play against Joe Random.

Personally I just throw head-high or higher - I've never seen anyone successfully drop a bunt on a pitch way up there, and it gives less time for them to react and pull it back when it looks like it's gonna be out of the zone (though most of the people who do this wouldn't even try to pull it back anyway).

its rare but the worst is when the guy is actually a decent hitter because if you bring in all your infielders he will hit and possibly get it past your infielder . i usually just throw it right at the guy. love it when he bunts and i bean him and it is still a strike. haha.

Drag bunt defense works pretty well.

Slide step every pitch to get the runner out throwing fast balls and sliders.

It's too the point where I feel like I'm allowing them to get on base so that they can play recklessly and try to steal second. 90% of the time they try to steal. 100% of the time I get them out stealing second with the slide step.
