Check Swings are never called strikes

I have noticed this year I have never seen a check swing appeals actually called a strike EVER, I know every time I am safe and won't get called out on a check swing, I used to be frustrating before where I wouldn't know if I went around or not, so it made it more realistic now I have noticed they never get called as strikes ever.

I hear ya. I've owned this game since release day and between online and offline games combined, I've played probably 80-90 games. Coincidentally, I saw my 1st check swing appeal called a strike last night, and there was two check swing appeals called a strike in that same game. That's the only time I've seen it on this years game and weirdly they both happened in the same game.

It's usually how things go, the past few years check swing appeals have been very K friendly. Usually when something like this is fixed it's kinda drastic so now they hardly ring up anyone.

Good news is while that is how things are usually fixed in video games, this is the Show so it'll be fairly balanced next year as they actually take pride in making their game.

Ya I agree with this. Its very extreme opposite of last year. I would obviously like it if check swing appeals worked properly but if I had to choose I'd rather it be the way it is this year over the last couple years.

I also don't recall seeing an appeal called a strike, however as a hitter almost all my check swings are called a strike by the home plate umpire

I've seen a few of them called strikes both ways, honestly though when I actually watch the cutscene all the way through instead of frustratingly tapping through lol, they are usually getting the call right.

Yeah, I've seen two or three called strikes on the appeal, but it is way down from last year.

Now that you mention it, through about 30 games, I have not seen one called a strike yet. Odd! I don't really look, and it doesn't seem to affect my gameplay, just something odd I've just noticed.

I have owned and played this game since release day and I have yet to see one check-swing called a strike by the 1B/3B umpire, always called a ball. Not sure what the deal is, I seen both called fairly equally in last year's game.

While it is true that the game doesn't seem be calling appealed strikes this year, I see enough un-appealed ones that I don't feel like it affects game balance or is "unfair".

But yes, despite that I'd rather see the scenes return. I've seen exactly one in all my time spent with the game this year, and it was in a CPU vs CPU game.

It is frustrating, because sometimes it even looks like they swung but its called a ball. I am sure next year it will be more balanced.

I am jealous. 200 plus games and counting for me LOL!!! I can't believe I have not seen one for either myself or the CPU.
