Re: Great Days at the Plate

I hit three homers in a game with Ryan Raburn, and he hit six in the four-game series against Atlanta!

He started off as just a platoon player but now he has pretty much forced his way in to the starting line-up as he has 18 home runs in the middle of July.

I did score 11 runs in an inning in DD the other day but not sure that counts for this thread [emoji14]

I haven't played a whole lot of The Show yet, but Orlando Cepeda hit a homer and drove in four during the first game of my fantasy draft season with the Mets a few weeks ago. I ended up winning 9-0 against the new-look Royals.

Francisco Lindor hit a home run from both sides of the plate against the Phillies the other day as well.

The last game I played was my best offensive game in my Phillies Franchise yet. Clobbered the Braves 9-2 and had 15 hits. 10 of them for extra bases. 4 doubles and 6 home runs as a team. Ryan Howard hit 2 of them in the game. I even hit back-to-back-to-back home runs in the 7th inning with Ryan Howard, Maikel Franco and Cody Asche. David Lough and Freddy Galvis also homered in the game. David Lough went 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles.

Just a super fun game to play. 28-15 so far on the season playing every game.

Started a franchise with the rockies all in hall of fame.

          First game Arenado went 5-5 2HR 2 Doubles 7RBI's

          3 games later 4-5 2HR 7RBI's

through the first 5 games Arenado is .600/7Hr/17RBI
          He is a beast.

Just played a game in my franchise that I won in 23 INNINGS! I checked the game stats and found I had seen 288 pitches in one sitting. That's what I call a great day at the plate!

              Lol well mine just changed.

Just went 4-5 with Harper in my Nationals chise, hit for the cycle with the HR giving him a long ball in three straight games in St. Louis, and 4 homers in our past 5 games.

In the last three series I have had (Texas, Dodgers and Giants), one game has went deep into extras. Texas went to 18 (lost), Dodgers to 21 (won) and now in the 15th against SF (saved and quit for later due to developing bad habits lol). Crazy stuff. My pitchers and hitters are all pretty much falling asleep on the field they are so fatigued.

Re: Great Days at the Plate

I just recently decided to up the hitting difficulty that I play with because even though I was having a lot of fun, I started to feel like it was too easy to score most games. I've moved up from All-star to HOF to match my pitching difficulty. After messing around with a few teams, I decided to restart my Cubs franchise with the updated OSFM rosters and my new difficulty. So that being said, this was a big game for me with my new settings:

8th game of the season. Playing game 3 of the opening Home series vs the Reds. We got shutout game 1 2-0. Game 2 we bounced back with a 7-2 win via 3 HR. Game 3 I am getting shutdown again. Trail 3-0 in the 6th. Rizzo comes in the game having 0 HR and just 3 RBI. Hits a solo HR to left center just over the ivy to get us on the board. Bottom of the 8th we trail 3-1. Heyward leads off with a single up the middle. Fowler follows it up with a liner up the middle. 1st and 2nd no outs. First pitch to Rizzo is a fastball on the outer half of the plate and I use the Square button and hit a no doubter to left center again! 4-3 lead. We tacked on 1 more and too the series with a 5-3 win.

First 2 homer game on HOF and it was a big one. Definitely having some frustrating ABs and games on this level, but it's more challenging and I'll only get better. Sometimes we just really have to evaluate how we're playing and figure out when it's time to move up.

Just last night in my Red Sox franchise:

David Ortiz went 4 for 4 with 2 singles, 1 double and 1 HR which traveled 472 feet and landed pretty far up in the RF bleachers at Fenway

Damn near hit for the cycle with the 1987 Indians last night. 2 Indians had a chance.
Joe Carter came up in the 8th only needing a single, but I didn't get a good pitch to hit, so he drew a walk. Julio Franco also only needed a single in his last AB but I forgot & hustled him to 2B for his second double of the game. Brett Butler also could have had a chance. He had 2 triples & a homer. The only caveat was I played at Polo grounds, where triples are cheap, & homers cheaper. But between those 3 Carter, Franco & Butler, it was definitely a great day to plate.

Drawing back to back walks with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th to get the walk off win!

Just the other day, I went 3-4 with ARod, with 3 homers and 6 RBI's, including the game-winning 3-run jack. Mind you this is on Legend everything difficulty.

Went 3-4 with Brandon Moss in my last game with against the Padres. Moss hit 2 homers and a single and drove in all 4 runs.

Down 4-0 in the 8th inning. I had only 2 hits and didn't look like scoring. All of a sudden my first 2 batters were HIT BY PITCH and then I got a streaky single on an infield error. Addison Russell came to the plate and battled to a 3-2 count then finally got one up in the zone which was despatched for a grand slam. I was back in the game and ended up winning in the 14th inning after I had all but given up. I'm finding the inning by inning variety AMAZING this year and you never quite know what's going to happen next at the plate.
