Re: Great Days at the Plate

I've never gone back to back to back in The Show, until today.

After fighting to get to extras in a 1-1 game at SF, we ran away with the game in the 10th after consecutive HR by Pederson, Thompson, and Tabata.

It was cool to get my first back to back to back with all 3 of my OF being involved, 2 of them being platoon players/bench guys, and the 3 shots coming at a pitcher's park. It was also cool that the shots went to all 3 fields, Pederson to dead center, Thompson opposite field to right, and Tabata to left.

Mookie Betts was struggling so badly in my Red Sox franchise and was hitting just .185 through the first 30 games......then he absolutely caught fire for a 10 game stretch in which he hit .488 going 21 for 43 at bats and he also hit .555 in the last 6 games of that stretch going 15 for 27

Betts last game he was 4 for 5 with a single, 2 doubles and a triple and over that 10 game stretch he raised his batting average from .185 to .271 to totally turn around what was looking like it was going to be a disastrous first half of the season for Betts

My 2016 mlb RTTS first game comes to mind. 4 homers, last one being a walk-off in extras! Wish it was with Yanks, but decided to let draft choose, and I'm with SD. Second year in mlb, and we're leading division with a 34-14 record.
1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!

Had an excellent game with Brandon Moss is my last game.

Moss went 3 for 3 with 2 walks and 3 homeruns and 5 RBI. He now has 6 homeruns in his last 4 games. Been waiting all year for his power to show up.

Not the greatest game ever but in context pretty neat

Tysoe Ross wasn 3-4 with a walk, 4 RBI and 2 runs. He hit 2 bases loaded 2 out singles- massively clutch . Best game by a pitcher in my franchise yet.

Hitting as Tyler Collins in August as the Padres (had acquired him in a trade with Detroit at the deadline for Andrew Cashner). Anyway, it's not too big a day as Collins went 2 for 3, but it's the context of what happened that made it my great day. Hit a single and a double, knocking in two runs, scoring once, and walking once. However, the main thing was his at-bats during the game. Had a 17-pitch appearance, a 12 pitch appearance, a 14 pitch appearance, and an 8 pitch appearance. That's 52 pitches seen by just one batter. The 17 pitch at-bat and the 12 pitch at-bat both started out in 0-2 counts as well. Needless to say, I was extremely pleased with those plate appearances haha

Played a 23 inning game the other day, Brett Lawrie hit 2 homeruns, including a walkoff, and went 6-8, raising his average by almost .20 points.

Just had my best game at the plate with the Mets of the entire season. Mid-way through August at the Cardinals v Michael Wacha. I'm currently 7 games up on the Nats in the NL East

                  Conforto: 2-5, 2HR, 3RBI
                  Cespedes: 2-4, HR, 2B, 3RBI, BB
                  Duda: 3-5, 2 2B, 3RBI
                  Reyes: 2-5, HR, 2B, 3 RBI
                  Wright: 2-4, HR, RBI, BB

In my split Franchise(Nats/Orioles) with Chris Davis hitting under .200 about 40 games in, he finally breaks out with a 3 hr & 5RBI game & then next game get a hr, double & 5 RBI.

This isn't a single game but in a 14 game season save with my buddy. Kendrys Morales has 16 hrs over the course of 35 games (2 seasons + playoffs). Now what makes that insanely impressive is in my Cle franchise with the same difficulty and sliders. My best slugger Carlos Santana has 26hr through 105 games.

Had a 5 for 5 performance with Addison Russell which included 2 HRs, 2 doubles, and a single against the Miami Marlins. Nearly a Kris Bryant replica. The most amazing part about this? This happened in a losing effort.

Just had the weirdest great day I've ever had. Playing the Blue Jays in my Red Sox franchise during April. I scored 11 runs on 10 hits. Kinda weird but what was really weird was 7 of the 10 hits were home runs. So 7 home runs with only JBJ having more then 1 hit and he hit for the cycle! First time I've ever hit for the cycle in the show
