Pitchers who I want to bat with

Question: I am looking to create a starting pitcher, and use him in franchise. I'd like to be able to put him at DH the 4 days he doesn't start. The day he does start, I can always sub out the DH and then it puts my pitcher hitting. Is this possible? Is there a workaround, because it appears I can only put position players in the lineup.

    thanks!!!

The only workaround I can think of is editing the player and switching his official position from SP to 1B or something, and I'm not even sure if that's possible or not.

What are his hitter ratings that make you want to do this? I'm intrigued!

I am looking to create myself (obviously a more athletic version lol) and do a full franchise. I don't care if he's in the AL or NL, as long as there's a way for me to either DH him 4 games out of 5, or at least pinch hit with him in the NL. Can you do that?

You should be able to pinch hit with pitchers. They always show up when I'm looking to PH. Of course, I never pick them because they suck at it lol, but it should be doable.

The DH one...I've not seen a way to put a pitcher as DH in the lineup. You could PH for the listed DH (put a scrub there if you have one so you don't lose a good bat) with the pitcher. That would seem to work?

Is it possible to put the DH in the field? I believe that causes the team to lose the DH. Then your guy would bat in the DH's spot as a pitcher?

Not possible. As far as I know only Sean Doolittle has an extra positiona as a pitcher.
Not even Mychal Givens was given that ability.

alright, thanks guys. I guess I'll just hit with him when he pitches, by taking out my DH right away (puts the pitcher in that spot) and hope he goes at least 7-8 innnings every time lol. I can also pinch hit with him once a game if that's doable like the other guy said.

It would be nice to be able to use solid hitting pitchers like Arrieta, Bumgarner, Kershaw, etc. whenever we want in either league. Bumgarner in real life is a better hitter than several position players.

Would be nice to get them in the lineup in the field at times to give them some AB's. Of course, like KB Lover said we do have the option to pitch hit with pitchers though.
