    Changing Positions and Adjusting Ratings

When you change a players position, specifically in Franchise, do you make any adjustments to their ratings? For example, changing defensive ratings when you move a player to a new primary position or adjust ratings if you move a pitcher from the rotation to the bullpen (or vice versa) full time?

If so, what do you consider when making the ratings adjustments?

Re: Changing Positions and Adjusting Ratings

Im more than fine with moving a players position, especially young talents that are still in the minors. I dont change any ratings though. I change the position to better suit the player's ratings, not the players ratings to suit the position I want. Havent yet but on a fake player, specifically a pitcher, I might add a pitch to a 3 pitch player but it would be worse than the other 3 by a decent margin. I just wouldnt want to affect the ratings shown on the player card by doing so though, just feels wrong/cheap to me. To each their own.

With that said, its understandable that maybe you drafted an outfielder and they're 18 but they got a 40 arm strength. If Im drafting you as an outfielder, I should be able to assume you're going to have a "live arm". So fixing the games mistakes in creating a prospect, I could understand/accept that. Or dropping the age of prospects drafted, too many 23+ year old prospects. These are completely respectable, even if I wouldnt do it myself. I just hope one day they fix it, and a few other things. This game is great, it just aint perfect yet, not by a long shot in some areas...

If i change a players position its only a prospect and i sit them in Class A the entire year. my backup 3B literally booted every ball hit his way so after he cost me a game or 2 i switched him to LF and he's just cooking in Single A for now and next ST ill get him a lot of time there considering he's on my 40 man. I always feel like if u change their prime position and throw them out there they just get worse.
