    Draft Gems/Freaks/Studs. What are yours?

This was a successful thread in the Madden threads figured I could start on for The Show. Who are your draft Gems that you selected in the 1st year player draft in July?

I drafted a closer with Boston in the First Round. Frances Perez, A potential. Throws 4SFB/CB/SL/VCH with 99 Break and 99 K/9 who looks like he may take over for Kimbrel in year 4.

Also drafted a Gem with my Braves in the Second Round in the same draft. Raymond Jung, 2B, A potential. He started year two with the big team. Starting stats were 67/55 in contact, 57/59 in power, 99 in fielding. In year three, he's my leadoff hitter. He's the reason I was able to package a deal for McCutchen in year three including Albies. Funny thing being, in the year three draft, I took the best player on my board, which happened to be a second. baseman who has 99 potential. Can't wait to see how he starts the fourth year.

    Who are your Gems/Studs/Freaks/Steals?

in the 2016 draft I selected

    SP, 19 YO, B pot., 74 ovr
    SS, 20 YO, B pot., 76 ovr
    SP, 18 YO, C pot., 74 ovr

plus another B potential starting pitcher and another C potential starter

Those overalls are as of mid August 2017, they've gone up a few points since the draft

2017 I wasn't as lucky, but I did get a 67 ovr 88 pot LF in round 1. Very limited power though

I've had a couple solid drafts

      2018 with my Tigers:
      LF, M.Valdez, 83 potential/B
      2B, M.Valentine, 89 potential/B
      SP, F.Coppola, 86 potential/B
      C, R.Castro, 87 potential/B
      SP, D.Fukumori, 76 potential/C
      SP, P.Tan, 84 potential/B

      2017 with my Rockies:
      SP, RD Quinn, 87 potential/B
      SP, W.Tabatta, 88 potential/B
      SP, A.Padilla, 81 potential/B
      RF, G.Sanchez, 81 potential/B

      2016 again with the Rockies:
      SP, P.Rivera, 76/C
      RP, S.Munoz, 78/C
      RP, M.Young, 84/B
      SP, P.Emerson, 87/B
      SP, R.Carrasco, 82/B
And two other RPs with high C potential

Not sure how you do your scouting but I have mine set to auto and am greatly pleased with how it pans out

Best prospect I have seen was a 19 yr old 3rd Baseman with 98 potential and started at 74 OVR. Contact was 54/62 and power was 60+/70+. Dude was 80 after year 1. Couldnt get the A's tpo give him for anything...of course I was the Padres

Jose Cervantes is mine. He was a 75 OVR SS with 98 potential, but he lacked arm strength, so I switched him to 2B.

Heading into the playoffs in his second year in the bigs, he's currently a 94 OVR at age 23

Below is a screenshot of his attributes at the AS break. I'm currently at work so I can't grab a more recent screenshot, sorry. But this will still do justice.

But anyway, his numbers are crazy. In fact, they're so crazy, I know them all by heart. Through 160 games, here are his numbers:

            Batting Avg: .302
            HR's: 37
            RBI's: low 90's (I think 91)
            SB's: 44

            Stud.

Potential Stud: SP Ozzie Rodriguez. 19 years old and comes in with an 82 H/9 and high B potential.

Potential Gem: SP Bruno Ozuna. 19 years old and relatively advanced for his age. Mid-B potential, 66 OVR points to potentially a high-floor, moderately high ceiling type of prospect. Taken in the late 5th round.

Drafted a 19 YO 1B called Jose Abreu, was a 69 OVR with like 75+ L POWER and 89 Potential.

Sold him to the Sox to land Juan Moncada as I already had Rowdy Tellez who looked super tasty at 1B in spring training, didn't want to commit to another righty.

In my 2017 draft I picked absolute dog****, best player was 78 potential...ofc I had the 30th pick so I shouldn't be surprised.

Spend lots of money on scouts and scout as many players and positions as possible. Go by stats on the left, those are accurate and do not change

On a player, you see like Contact vsR 50/60

He means look at the 50. That's likely where the player is (about average).
