First time player of the series here, so im wondering what to expect when I fire the game up. Im not new to baseball games however (2K Series, MVP Baseball), but obviously this game is going to be totally different. Anyone have any noob tips or sliders to get a good feel of the game early on before moving up difficulty levels later on? Thanks!

There is a forum that is dedicated to all types of sliders. Check it out . You may find something that will fit you.
If you ever have issues recognizing the strike zone, here is a thread about that.
CB had a pretty comprehensive guide to hitting if you have issues with that.

You can also Search the forum if you can't find what you're looking for in those threads.

Just for the very basics, I would start with dynamic difficulty, as it begins on the lowest settings and works your way upwards. I would have also recommended auto baserunning, but it is currently broken. (big thread about that if you want to peek).
After that, its all very personal. I've been playing the game since 2008, and baseball video games since the late 80s, and I only play on veteran difficulty with a few sliders in my favor.Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.Comment
