This fielding problem occurs too often

Sometimes when I precharge a throw, then change the base, the fielder sits there with the ball in his hand and no matter what I seem to press, he will not throw it. Is there a way around this? Sometimes precharging a throw with an outfielder and not even changing the selected base results in the same thing.

ya i hate when that happens but it happens more often with the outfield than infield.

Whenever I have that happen I think its due to hitting the base too early. Like it never registered
