Dynamic difficulty not saving when saving mid game

I have been reading this board all night, learned a lot.

However, can't find an answer to this issue:
Played my 1st franchise game with the Dodgers on dynamic difficulty. I had to save in the 5th inning and quit the game. When I loaded the game up again, all the progression towards Rookie+ was gone (pitching and batting). The sliders were back to the middle.

Before I truly start a franchise, I want to make sure it is working properly. Because I won't have the time to play full game at once all the time. Is it a bug, normal, or should I stick to AllStar pitching and Veteran batting?

I personally have never had this problem. But I would suggest making sure you're loading the right user profile when you start a game - it sounds like what's happening is that a different (default one, without your current DD progress) is getting loaded. Dynamic Difficulty is tied to user profile, and if you're loading the wrong one you might get the impression that your progress isn't changing (it is, but it's not on a profile you're actively using).

I'm just going to describe this from scratch since it's easier to explain that way (I have no idea what your settings look like right now):

While inside your franchise mode, create a new user profile in Options from the "Experienced" template, and rename it to something you'll remember (personally I just call mine "Dynamic"). Make sure this profile name is shown at the top of the options screen, and press R1/L1 to scroll to it if it's not.

Without leaving the options screen, go into gameplay options and set everything to how you want it. This includes any gameplay preferences (including dynamic difficulty, of course). Sliders are set in a different location and are not tied to the profile (they have their own save file) - you don't need to worry about those.

Finally, go into "Set Team Association" and "Settings File Association". There may be between 1 or 30 teams here depending on how many you chose to control when starting the franchise. For every team that you want to actively control (in other words, play as), set this new profile to be associated with it with the R-Stick. This is essentially the same thing as choosing your team's profile from the team select at the very beginning of Franchise.

Press circle to leave options and apply the changes. Next time you go into into a game, look for the profile name to appear automatically on the team select screen without having to R-Stick scroll to it - that's your sign that the correct profile is being loaded.

It's not really as complicated as all that - it's just difficult for me to know what your current settings are, and thus starting from the beginning is the best way to explain it. Ever since the RTTS progress bug was patched I haven't had any trouble with DD not adjusting, so hopefully this can help.
