MLB The Show. A Game of Inches

I feel like MLB The Show is a game of inches and I lose it everytime. Balls on the edges of the zone are very hit or miss. I hit balls either right at people or just in their range. And the CPU fielders always track down the ball reaching backhanded over their head in the outfield. I could easily have a 6 runs and like 13 hits, but instead I end up with 1 run on 5. Anybody else think this?

No. I just finished a 3 game series with the Reds where I outscored them 34-6 in the series. I hit homeruns, doubles down the line, into the gaps, and was just crushing the baseball. I had double digit hits in all 3 games.

This coming off a series finale with the Marlins where I won 9-0. So over my last 4 games I've scored 43 runs, averaging over 10 hits a game, all while holding the opposition to 1.5 runs per game.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I'm glad someone can rake on this game. I play on All Star default and I'm lucky to get 6 or 7 hits per game, and my scores are always 2-1, or 1-0, or something like that. I've dropped my hitting down to Veteran, but that generates too many hits and runs for me. I think I've had the most trouble hitting on this year's game than any before. Normally default All Star works fine for me.

Yeah I just raked 8 runs on 17 hits last night.

Normally I don't hit THIS well, but my team is on a hot streak at the moment.

Re: MLB The Show. A Game of Inches

I have felt I was always "one step behind" in this series since I've played it(07). I would get frustrated and stop playing. Now I am a year behind so I'm playing 15.

I started on dynamic(hitting was stuck on Rookie+, pitching was on AllStar) playing all ST games and had the same problems(rarely winning) and wasn't having fun so I stopped playing again.

Then I got the itch back and thought dynamic wasn't working for me so because of the long layoff to get my timing back I started on Beginner. I obviously leveled up in less than a game. So I put hitting and pitching on Rookie and it was too easy, then veteran and it was too easy, then All Star and it was too easy. I was even crushing it on All Star hitting yet dynamic had me on Rookie+...weird.

I'm just plain afraid to go to HOF because even though I pitch well on All Star I get crushed on HOF so I think I wouldn't hit on HOF. So I went back to dynamic when Reg Season started. In the beginning hitting jumped to All Star rather quickly and pitching stayed at Rookie+/Veteran. Two months into the season hitting has gone down to Veteran and pitching is All Star.

I am on a run like I've never had in the Show before. I am 42-9 with the Mets that started with 2014 roster. I just keep waiting fo the 10 game losing streak, I know it's coming because I am not the greatest at this game.

Time to bump it up, CB. You should try my Legend sliders.

Well...that's what happens when we play with Atlanta.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Good point. Freeman is my only true homerun threat so I have to play small ball and I suck at base stealing. Lol
