They'll go so far as to waive the guy, too.

Saw a pitcher on the wire and his ratings looked decent. Paged to his stats and he had like a 6+ ERA.

Guess that team said "screw that we can do better" and waived him.

You know, it is kinda of funny.

This game is so realistic, that we expect it be completely to the core realistic. I understand that fielding and such is also based on attributes and such and sometimes the animation make the play seem unbelievable, but in the end, we see the unbelievable plays, the slow fielder responses and it makes us mad because we feel like that cost us an out or a hit or something.

I know, I'm the same way. But I'd much rather see an unbelievable event that keeps the stats closer to realistic than having to read text about each and every play.

So, to me, it's a tradeoff. Is it realistic? Yes, very much. Are there times when I think what happened would never happen IRL? Yes.

But in the end, I'm happy with the results.

      Ok, I'll stop rambling now....

For the most realistic looking baseball game yes. Playing!? Still a ways to go especially on defense.

It will never be, and Im ok with that. There will always be human intangibles that a video game will not be able to reproduce. In the end, it will always be a video game and Im ok with that. It does what it can to be realistic. As long as the stats stay simulated and the game stays away from the arcadey feel, I will buy it year after year.

Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.
