There was not a single stolen base attempted by anyone in the entire season

The backstory behind that is that a year ago, that same user did a simulated game between Bartolo clones and Ryan Howard clones. Not sure if you guys have seen that but it is imo just as good as this one, if not better.

My colon hurts for laughing so much.
I won't make such an assessment with such little sample size.T-BONE.

Pretty funny read. Agree that the reason for the usual good teams being good probably relates to coach rating boosts/morale effects. Or just coincidence, since there's no real sample size to speak of here.Comment

I like the 63 inning playoff game where the away Colons scored 1 run and the home team immediately walked off with 2 runs in the bottom of the 63rd. lolChicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: Dude sims entire season with every player as Bartolo Colon.
The real question is...was it a HR? Did a Colon clone hit a 2-run walkoff HR for his first ever HR?
That and how many pitches did someone have to throw. Though, I guess using "non-pitchers" to pitch is easier when your whole roster is pitchers!"Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

I also imagine the non pitchers didn't have pitchers attribute.
Probably what kept the pitch count "within reason" is the fact the non pitcher was Bartolo lolLast edited by Ghost Of The Year; 07-17-2016, 06:00 PM.T-BONE.

Re: Dude sims entire season with every player as Bartolo Colon.
I agree that it's coincidence. I'm into August 2016 of my franchise, and the Minnesota Twins have been leading the AL Central most of the season. Certainly not reality.. But there's been some calamities on the other teams. Season ending injury for Jordan Zimmerman in Detroit, multiple injuries riddling the Indians, including Carlos Santana on the 60 day DL. I guess the opposite argument from this would be to say that it's SO unrealistic, because the Twins suck in real life! There's always something in this game that can be argued from opposite directions.Comment

Looks like someone put this in the roster vault today.
Didn't DL so I don't know if it'a legit.
Maybe tomorrow I will have time to investigate.T-BONE.

Re: Dude sims entire season with every player as Bartolo Colon.
The first thing you'd probably notice on looking at the lineups are the different overalls due to positional weighting. They're not all the same - even from position to position despite being the same underlying ratings.
If you're going to duplicate the subject of the article, it would probably be best done in season mode as the minors are not overrun with Bartolos. Turning injuries off would probably be a good idea too.Comment

"There was a Colone on the Blue Jays who threw 8 shutouts. There was a Bartolo on the Royals who had a 0.13 ERA. Neither of them won the Cy Young."
This part made me literally laugh out loud.Comment
