Team control
Hey guys. I usually run two different 6-team franchises. One team from each division. But I'm now thinking of fully restarting and doing a 12-team franchise that way my teams dont always wind up having the same players. Obviously I wouldn't be playing all games. I'd simply select 1-2 starters from each team and play only those games and in the event of two of my teams going against each other with two selected pitchers, I'd flip a coin lol

Re: Team control
I have two franchises. One I'm the Braves with made up people. Friend and family. I play that one with my son.
A second franchise is with the Rangers, but I swapped out the real life Braves players so in trying to rebuild that one. I made myself as a pitcher. So I only okay out my starts right now. I Sportscast Manage or MOM the other games.

Re: Team control
I'm hesitant on doing it. It'll mean I'll be starting over yet again but I know if I do, it'll be the last time since it'll have all the teams I wanna control but it'll also be a pain in the off season lolOakland A's - Seattle Mariners - Detroit TigersPittsburgh Steelers - Green Bay PackersDetroit Red WingsComment

A great idea.
What I'm considering:
AL East Orioles
NL East Marlins
AL Central White Sox
NL Central Anyone but Milwaukee. Maybe the Pirates, or the Reds.
AL West Mariners
NL West RockiesT-BONE.
Talking about things nobody cares.Comment

Re: Team control
I don't think the 12-team franchise interests me but controlling 6 teams in season mode does.

Re: Team control
I have a 30-team and I just pick what game I play randomly. Deciding factors into playing a game are:
- potential pitching matchup
- have not used a particular team in a given length of time
- have not played in a stadium in a given time period
- it's a minor-league game
- the team's current roster
- eeny-meenie-miney-moe
The only game that is a "for sure play" game is the earliest game on opening day. After that, it is all up in the air. I had a Bumgarner-vs-Kershaw match-up in their second and third starts where once I played as Kershaw and the other I was Bumgarner. I had another where there was a lefty-dominated lineup playing against the Yankees at Yankee Stadium so I had a field day trying to park as many homers in the short RF stands as I could. I wanted to see how I would do against Jake Arrieta. I wanted to play as my 5'5", 140lb, soft-tossing junk-baller (think Doc Wingate velocity). I've closed my eyes on the home tab of franchise while holding L2/R2 and where it stopped, I played the game (if there was a game).
It's been kinda fun as I'm not fully dedicated to one specific team. I can jump around between each team so it's not redundant each time I jump into a game. The only thing that wasn't too fun was the offseason that I took full control. It was a week-plus of making approximately 2200 transactions to get FAs signed, offer arbitrations, make qualifying offers, trades, random player editing (edit generic overwrites of former MLBers; make Akinori Yabuta of Canada who looks like he's from Kenya but has red hair, blond stubble, and black moustache/goatee look like someone who didn't just spam randomize character; rename Robert Roberts and Jacob Jacobs; let's turn a random draftee into a CAP-ish version of a friend/family), etc. But after all of that was done, it was onto playing random games and fun again.Comment
