MLB The Show 17 Throwback Uniform Wishlist

Let's pretend that MLB The Show 17 doesn't have a cap on the number of jerseys and as such we can get more than two throwbacks. Which ones would you want?Name any throwback you want. But for the sake of this thread, no missing current jersey. As a Cubs fan I've mainly listed Cubs throwbacks, of course. So please add in your favorite team and your favorite throw backs.

Here's the few I can think of off the top of my head.

1. 1908 Chicago Cubs home and away. I would enjoy these on a throwback game. Both the home and the road.

2. Cubs Late 70s early 80s road uniforms.


3. 1969 Chicago Cubs - Ernie Banks and Ron Santo years. Would be fun to play in those uniforms for a throwback game or two as well.


4. 1929 Cubs uniforms - They made the World Series but but couldn't get past the A's.


5. 1940's era Cubs uniforms. I just like these for some reason.I Have the home jersey I really like below the first pic as well.



6. 1931 Red Sox - 1931 - Little sock logo on a red-pinstriped cap - a one-year experiment. That makes this one interesting to me.




7. Negro League jerseys - Would be fun to be able to play in those throwbacks as well. Could just add them to various teams that have worn them before.

8. Montreal Expos - The Expos never had the fan support. And while these uniforms are actually kind of ugly, I would love to put the Nationals in them when I play against them, at least once. And yes the Expos did change to a better looking uniform before the move to DC but I like these for the throwback.

LOVE those jerseys...all I've ever wanted is for the Mets to have the 80s jerseys and the Indians to have the ones that were worn in the movie Major League (late 80s). I'm not sure we have ever had the Indians ones, but the Mets ones have been there. Everyone and their mom would absolutely LOVE if the expos unis of any kind made it into a game. Especially for the classic rosters. If I could ask for just 1 thing in next year's game, it would either be carry-over roster files or adding the Expos unis.

My first wish is for there to be three slots. One for Home, one for Away
& a third slot for you to use any User Created uni's.
My second wish is a uniform vault, where you can get created uni's from the community,
to use in the third slot.

I like the idea of a uniform vault. But I don't want a limit on uniform options. NBA 2K has several and they actually update some throughout the season. There is no reason for The Show keep using an outdated limit that actually prevents them from even including all the current uniform options.

A vault would be awesome assuming the create a uniform was done right were we could do some pretty accurate throwback creations. There are some very good people in the community that could make some solid uniforms. Maybe even do something like the Teambuilder website EA had for the NCAA series that allows one to upload actual team logos.

Always loved the sleeveless uniforms. Especially the Reds and Royals ones from the mid 90s and early 2000s.

I don't understand why spring training uniforms are in a slot during the season. That could open up a slot for a throwback or alternative. Make warm ups tied to spring training or is that far fetched and not possible?

My wish is for the uniform slot system to go away. Teams should have as many uni's as they use, plus any throwbacks, similar to what 2k has. I realize it's because of the size of the files for the unis, but if they can ever work around that, that's how I want the system to be.

I would love to see either of these in MLB 17. Always liked the pillbox striped hats and helmets from 1976.

I would love some 19th century uniforms too. They look goofy in a good way. Maybe fantasy retro uniforms for every team in that style.

I agree. Besides, you could just wear an alternate and pretend it's a Spring Training uniform.

And as for the Cubs, anything but a plain white and a plain grey uniform. Keep the 1982 unis, but fix them; make the numbers blue on the back of the home jerseys, and make the away pants white. I don't know why they changed to grey in 16, they've been right for 13, 14, and 15. Such great jerseys, and I'd love to see them correct.

Maybe add in the 1994 "Cuba" jerseys. I like the '92 away unis, but one could argue that they look too similar to the current ones. And then the red-bill caps would be great if I'm using, say, a 2001 roster. Then I could just wear them with the current away unis, and they'd be correct.

And the 1990 Reds uniforms. C'mon, how are you not going to have those? They were fantastic. Overall, more unis from the 80s and 90s when most of us remember.

Either the 92 or the 93 Blue Jays.

I know there is only a subtle difference between the 92 uniforms and the current throwback olds, but it's enough for me to notice. But what's the point of having Joe Carter in the game if I can't dress him up for his historic 93 home run?
