Official OS 30 Team Shared Franchise: Is It Possible?

Since online franchise is a bit limited compared to offline franchise, is it possible to do the following, in the hopes of starting up an Official OS 30 Team Shared Franchise:

    • Create a 30 team franchise of all user teams
    • Using "share play" (or whatever it's called) to play H2H games between all members (would need to share saved league file somewhere in between each game)
    • Handle FA signings, the draft, and the like on an online forum (since in-game would be too tricky)
    • Can actually have a real offseason instead of just starting over like in traditional online franchises
    • Could even roll the season over into next year's game

Admittedly, this would take some major ambition to share all of these games between 30 different people, but if we setup an OFFICIAL OS LEAGUE, I bet we could find 30 committed members. The one advantage to recruiting for a league this time of year, is anyone who shows interest this late into the season is likely to be committed.

Thoughts? Let's discuss the possibilities? It might even be fun to setup a fictional franchise with a fantasy draft or something like that.

Yes, I am very interested in this. I do not know all the particulars of which you speak, however. I would think this could be done other ways than share play, if the two of us or others would play some vs cpu - sim some - and some head-to-head. I am willing to commit to all 2,430 at a decent pace and continue this from year-to-year.

PM and let me know what we can do.

      thanks

Let's keep recruiting. If we can find 30 guys this time of year, odds are they'll be committed.

Share play, if I'm understanding it correctly, would allow for us to play H2H games without living together ha.

I believe the one setback is only be able to play one game at a time. We could create time slots and even place guys regionally by time zone to help w that.

I saw it. I think we should continue to recruit for now. For starters, we might find a good base for something like this in the Online Franchise I am starting. Check the online section for info on that, and if you'd like to join, copy and paste the info from the first post and I can add you ASAP.

Elton, to elaborate, I want to avoid using AI teams for to the game's inability to properly use SPs to avoid the amount of CG/SO that appear, regardless of sliders.

I'd love to try this with more people on board.

Sim games to 7th Inning and manage the SP. It is that simple and that tedious. You have to really love Baseball to be willing to commit to that effort with 2,430 games. I am willing to do it and I do not know why.

For sure. What I found worked out well was to sim 3-4 games at a time, check that no CG/SO happened (unless you let some through occasionally), save and continue on.

Still takes forever though, so I just don't play AI franchise or RTTS mode this year. A complete shame this is still broken.

Mike, have you tired share play with this game?.. in past experience I found it to be laggy especially hitting. You may want to try it out with someone 1ST

I have not. Maybe we could give it a whirl (you or anyone else). I know online sometimes is laggy, but it's been VERY rare for me. It plays quite well for me online.

Yeah, let's give it a whirl. It's a busy weekend for me, but I'll see if I can put something together and then figure out how to send it over via the Cloud.

Re: Official OS 30 Team Shared Franchise: Is It Possible?

Me and a friend have played several games using share play and it at first was a great way to play a offline franchise and get all the presentation has to offer.

Some of the positives is the actual correct schedule and correct start times where in an online franchise these dates are not correct.

You can edit anything in your ongoing offline franchise.

You can manually injured guys in a offline franchise where u cant online.

                              Negatives:

Shareplay is only 59 mins long if you cant finish a game u half to pause your game and make another shareplay and invite your friend.

But the weird thing is its a must the host has to have at least 30 and up internet speed but its mainly on your upload speed half to be at least 8.0.

and it doesn't stop there you will be late on everything who is not the host unless sliders are adjusted and what worked for us is putting pitch speed at 0 but it looks like its on default for some reason while playing. Also u will need to raise timing slider.

I hope some of this info is helpful to you guys.
