Just now I hit a home run with Jason Hammel in my MLB 16 The Show Franchise which marks the third straight year I've hit a home run with Jason Hammel (starting with MLB 14 The Show) in Franchise, and he's the only pitcher I've been able to go yard with. In last year's game I also pitched a no hitter with Hammel late in my Franchise season and he finished second on my team in strikeouts. I also hit about .340 with Chris Coghlan last year in my Franchise and through the first month of my Franchise in MLB 16 The Show I've got Coglhan batting over .400. Anyone else have some extraordinary luck/results with mediocre-rated players in The Show?

Ahhh Jason Hammel and Chris Coghlan...two of my favorite players
But yes, it's not uncommon to have amazing success with average/below avg players. I think at one point I was hitting .330/6 HRs with Eric Sogard through the season, who may never see .270 again in his baseball career.
