    Need help setting a lineup

I am wondering where to put Mike Trout, Bryce Harper and Anthony Rizzo in a lineup to make them most effective. I play as the nationals and also have Trea Turner (excellent leadoff), Daniel Murphy and Wilson Ramos, along with some scrubs. Incase you are wondering, I feel that I made honest trades to get Rizzo and Trout; I have lost Scherzer, Zimmerman, Werth, J.Ross, Giolito, V.Robles and some B-rated prospects acquired in the draft.

So far I have been going:
    1. Turner, 2. Harper, 3. Trout, 4. Rizzo, 5. Ramos/Murphy depending on how they are doing.
I would like to go R, L as much as possible. It is cheesing the system to go L, L, L IMHO; the CPU doesnt utilize R/L matchups out of the bullpen at all

I am wondering if it would be better to go:
    1. Trout, 2. Harper, 3. Turner, 4. Rizzo

or maybe something else. Ideas? Thanks!

Re: Need help setting a lineup

    With that lineup I'd go:
    1.Trout
    2.Murphy
    3.Rizzo
    4.Harper
    5.Ramos

And have my pitcher bat 8th and Turner in the 9 hole.

I know you said you're against going L,L,L, but with those guys that's what I'd do. If you must go against that then I'd use.

    1. Harper
    2.Murphy
    3.Trout
    4. Rizzo
    5. Ramos
    9.Turner

But I'd keep Rizzo in the 3 hole regardless he's a crazy rbi man in this game.

Haha yeah he's gone absolutely nuts in my Nat's chise. Just at the break and he's already pushing 90 for those damn Cubbies lol.

Well for just a quick outlook on how I do mine:

            1. I always want speed at the 1 spot no matter what.

            2. For the 2 hole I preferably want someone that can be great if they have protection. Think someone like Murphy here, if I don't have someone like that then I want my best hitter that doesn't have a lot of power here.

            3. In the third spot of the order I want my best rbi guy straight up plain and simple.

            4. The cleanup spot is where I like to stick my guys that have a good bit of power but aren't necessarily the best hitters. A la Chris Carter,Ryan Howard,Chris Davis these types.

            5. In the 5 spot I like the best all around hitter I have left l, someone with a good balance of power and contact,

6-9. Do whatever feels good to you really. Personally I like batting my pitcher 8th to get more speed and essentially another leadoff hitter in the 9 hole.

I recently stumbled on this article about setting lineups in real life baseball and try to apply it to the game. It probably doesn't translate over too much, but I find it fun to role play with it: http://www.beyondtheboxscore.com/200...your-lineup-by
