PS4 Pro and MLB The Show 16 +HDR?

Will MLB The Show 16 be patched so it takes advantage of HDR on the new PS4 Pro?

I am dreaming of what MLB The Show will look like in HDR and 4K!!!

Very likely that the answer is a solid no.

    But there's always MLB 17.

Would love to know if MLB 17 will be 4K compatible because hot damn. What a fantasy.

It wont be true 4k. They may have some way of up scaling but its still not powerful enough. The new GPU which is the only thing that has changed puts out about 4.2 teraflops. Thats less than a GTX 980 and RX 470 neither of which are doing 4K all that well. If they did find a way to do it it would be no higher than 30 FPS.

I am actually now wondering if this HDR update for the original PS4 will be a big enough improvement graphically that I may just skip the PS4 Pro and wait for PS5 or what ever it will be called.

I have a Sony 4K HDR TV so this really has my interest.

1080P HDR gaming might look pretty darn good!

This has been said over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

              We get it.

But for the sake of conversation, and to play along with Sony's interpretation of overclocked GPU to 4k, lets just go along with it.

I'll revise. I hope MLB 17 is 4K (Not native. Definitely not native 4k. Not the REAL thing). That would be so cool.

I doubt there will be any patches for hdr or resolution for MLB 16.

But I wonder if it matters anyway. MLB's frame rate is unlocked (based on my perception) which means that if you look at the sky and one light pole, it's an apparent 60 fps or close to it. Of course during gameplay it's much lower.

By virtue of running on higher end hardware, does the game run better "automatically?" That's the biggest question for me. I would assume yes if PC gaming is any indication. But I don't know if the pro is going to make non patched games run at their original frame rates.

This is what I want to know. The framerate needs to improve more than anything on this game. The game sometimes just chugs along. I wonder if the ps4 pro will make this game run smoother. I don't have a 4K tv so this would be a purchase for me if it corrected the framerate in the show.
