Yeah I was also attempting to break the record in franchise mode using player lock. I am at a 38 hitting game hitting streak. The announcer mentions the streak when I come up to bat. And I get a bit of a emotion scene when I get a hit to continue the streak.

However there is no mention of the streak or my player in the updates from around the league announcer. I also simmed to the next season and there is mention of it.

I feel it's different for RTTS like you will here more about your player as opposed to RTTS!

RTTS is to gimicky for me so I play franchise mode. But I guess that's how it is.

Waiting for another studio to take on a real representation of the MLB! I'll sign up for a art position!

I'm doing mine on franchise mode, too. It seems odd that in the midst of a 50-game hitting streak, there is no mention that this player is doing something that most people thought would be impossible. They'll make sure that they have a specific line for every time you extend your hit streak from 6-14 games, but after that, it's generic until 30, then a different generic until he breaks the NL record, then a different generic until (I assume) you tie or break DiMaggio's record. Why not talk about something like that?

I'm doing mine on franchise mode, too. I'm not sure I follow you completely but it could be because I have a custom created player. I create a custom player and put myself on my favorite team.


I get a cut scene when I get to first base but when I got to around after game 28 I noticed the announcer stopped mentioning it. However I still get the cut scene animation when I reach first base. Justin Alegree (sorry for spelling) makes no mention of it at all!

OK, I see what you're saying. I was just saying that I also am not doing it on RTTS. I was just doing it with a player on my team in franchise mode. Regardless, Alleggri never mentions it, and they only mention anything specific during the 1st base cut scene when it's 6-14 games, 30 games, the NL record (43 I think?) and that's all I've gotten to so far. My next will be the 50th, so we'll see what they say then.

Sitting at 71 games now. Just getting hitting streak continues, haven't had an overlay of the amt of games, etc. Arod gets the occasional accolade, hit career HR #719 and it was mentioned, along with the all time list

This seems like a pretty egregious oversight... They're so happy to talk about a six game hitting streak. A 71-gamer? They're just like, yup. There's another hit. No need to talk about it. lol
