Ratings seem the same and I haven't noticed that a player will change trajectory one way or another?
    I think it's a display issue, personally.

I've edited equipment and even positions, and this puts a pause/reset on the visual display of a player's attributes. But once you play more games and resume progress through the regular in-season checkpoints, the display will correct itself and your player will return to traveling on whatever arc they were on development-wise.

I haven't seen such editing accidentally "tank" a player who was otherwise staying at the same level, or who was progressing.

Same here - the players always kept their trajectory.

"Losing" the +1 seems to be just a display thing. The rating doesn't change and if the player is due to increase again, he keeps increasing from my experience.

I tried this on some young guys who were improving. They "lost" the development (but the rating stayed the same meaning nothing was actually lost) and then kept getting +development when I simmed forward.

Likewise, I tried this on that franchise's Mike Trout (who was declining because of service time) and he "lost" the declines but picked up with dropping next time he was "due" for a possible change.

Has anyone actually seen a stark trajectory change after editing (and can be attributed SOLELY to the act of editing)? I know the display goes away - that's a bug - but it doesn't mean the actual development of the player, past or future, imo.
