Re: PS4 Pro Native 4K resolution running at 60 FPS with HDR support?
This sums up my issue with the framerate in last year's game. I don't care about FPS in non-gameplay, but when the ball's being pitched I really need to be able to see smooth motion in order to hit well.
You might not see it or think it's a big deal - that's fine if so. Last year made it abundantly clear to me that some people cannot perceive higher than 30 FPS.

Ina sports game (or at least in how they are now) 60fps is a must....This sums up my issue with the framerate in last year's game. I don't care about FPS in non-gameplay, but when the ball's being pitched I really need to be able to see smooth motion in order to hit well.

Re: PS4 Pro Native 4K resolution running at 60 FPS with HDR support?
What exactly were you expecting from the machine? It's a mid-cycle upgrade that's heavily dependent on developer support. The CPU hasn't aged well, but we all knew that before we purchased the machine.
Not every game is easy to upgrade to higher resolutions and/or frame rates. It's entirely dependent on the game and the engine being used.
I'd take stability over anything pretty especially in a game like this.
There are a lot of honest opinions about the Pro on this forum. Just because you agree with his take doesn't make it more honest than any of the other ones.Comment

Re: PS4 Pro Native 4K resolution running at 60 FPS with HDR support?
Question: If I buy a Pro and only have a 1080p TV, can I choose to optimize frame rate and still get that performance improvement? (That's assuming The Show's frame rate will be optimized for Pro of course.)www.heyimbill.com | sports poster art and other cool stuffComment

All I can say is that Battlefield 1 is absolutely beautiful on my PS4 Pro & Samsung 4k. There is a noticeable difference from the PS4 to the Pro. I don't even think BF1 has released PS4 Pro patch yet to utilize all of it's potential.Comment

It's dependent on the game but yes, the tv does not affect what you can choose.
Tomb Raider is a great example, they have the options for that on a 1080p tv.Comment

Re: PS4 Pro Native 4K resolution running at 60 FPS with HDR support?
Considering not that many households have a PRO, I highly doubt that's the biggest thing they are trying to sell. They are selling gameplay improvements among other things. I understand that this would be a good time to market buying the newer systems, but I don't see it as being a big deal that they haven't talked about it yet. They already said they were going to talk about it, so the gripe you have is because they are waiting too long?I cancelled my pre order...
Unless i hear good news on PS4 Pro features Im steering clear of this game and also contemplating selling the ps4 Pro.
Been disappointed with the pro ever since i got it.
The show not being fully supported by PRO with intersting fidelity and framrate features will most def tell me I dont want to wait another year for themSCEA to include features INBTO the ps4 PRO.
Sony would be ill advised if they let SCEA slide on not making SURE that PS4 PRO features are system sellers.
They need ppl to buy the pro and the show is the PERFECT opportunity for that....
YET!?!
Nothing has been said about it. IF the features WERE truly great theyd already be showing us getting are tastebuds salivating over getting a PRO if we hadnt had one already
Why wait? till almost relase day to tell us PS4 PRO features?
I have a PS4 Pro and if you cannot tell the massive difference on games that support it (IE Battlefield, NBA 2K, etc) on a 4K TV, then I'm not sure what to tell you my friend. All their screenshots and videos have been taken from a standard PS4, so I'd imagine the game on a Pro will look insane...but we wont know anything until they show it, which they will soon.Comment

Re: PS4 Pro Native 4K resolution running at 60 FPS with HDR support?
I have a feeling there will be Pro enhancements for the Show this year. It was even mentioned in one of the streams. Even if there werent any Pro enhancements, the game is looking great and for a die hard baseball fan this year's game is a must have.I cancelled my pre order...

I agree. They wouldn't keep pushing the Pro info back if there wasn't any info to reveal.Comment

Re: PS4 Pro Native 4K resolution running at 60 FPS with HDR support?
Ramone has said in streams that they will announce the upgrades on the Pro. I would imagine he wouldn't word it that way if nothing was done. I bought my Pro over the weekend getting ready for MLB. Worst case, I bet I gain some improvement on FPS. I would be just fine with that.Comment

Re: PS4 Pro Native 4K resolution running at 60 FPS with HDR support?
I agree with that worst case. I love the amount of extra detail that I can see on my Pro compared to just 1080P style, but even if they didnt do anything, just some improvement on FPS will do just fine for me. If the videos we have seen and the screenshots are any indication, then its going to look amazing with or without Pro's help.Ramone has said in streams that they will announce the upgrades on the Pro. If you can, change the input name on your TV to PC. That should reduce/eliminate the lag.
