All Star Game No Longer Determines...

With the new CBA that was agreed upon last night the winner of the All Star Game will no longer get home field advantage in the World Series. I for one am VERY happy to see this as I thought it was entirely unfair to the team that won 10-15 more games than the other team to not get home field. Question is, will this be changed in time for The Show?

I also read that teams which sign a top Free Agent no longer give up a first round pick in the draft.

I hope they implement the new Qualifying Offer system where a team over the luxury tax forfeits a 2nd and 5th round pick and a team under the luxury tax forfeits a 3rd round pick. I really hope they are able to implement that rule as well as the new 10 day minimum on the DL as Scott mentioned above

Doesn't all that go into effect for 2018?

Edit: Nvm only things like the lengthing of the season and financial things take effect after the 2017 season.

No everything starts this upcoming 2017 season except for the qualifying offer system, that starts in the 2017-2018 offseason

It should be relatively easy to change the WS homefield advantage from all-star game winner to pennant winner with best record and make it into 17 but the rest might be a little more involved. Or maybe not, what do I know. Whatever the case I hope it doesnt interfere with any plans Sony had for next year. Even though I dont even know those plans are, I hope to see some new wrinkles in the details of franchise mode. I couldnt care less about RTTS, online an DD, though I would be happy for those who do partake.
