Actually the PCI could move up or down on its own based on your timing. Up early and down late.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

That's going to be a tough find as it was several years ago, but I remember them saying it too, FWIW (or, at the very least, it was relayed through the community day guys, probably nem himself).Comment

In theory it is emulating a hitter's swing path. You can self test it. Leave the PCI in neutral and purposely swing early and late and the feedback will show travel up and down accordingly.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

I figure I've spent about 400 hrs with The Show 16 between a run through Conquest, franchise games played in both a Cubs and Angels franchise, simming years in various other test franchises, and RttS.Comment

I had a PS4 to catch up on some exclusives, but mainly to play The Show. In the end I had to sell it just because it didn't really make sense to have two systems.
But man, reading these threads every year makes me jealous.

Probably because for some of us it is a sickness. I was just having a conversation about this game with a friend at work. Started crunching some numbers for an average. So with The Show 16 figuring on average of 1.5 hours a game for franchise so far this year I have logged over 970 hours finishing 4 years of my Nationals franshise. That is not including Spring Training and the multitude of Minor League games I have played. Nor does this include my RTTS careers, of which I have 3 and one of those is in his 6th year.
So I guess if your play a game that much it kind of sticks in your head, you know.
(Unless those four years are spread out among multiple carryover versions of the game, in which case who knows.)Last edited by Turbojugend; 01-05-2017, 05:03 PM.www.heyimbill.com | sports poster art and other cool stuffComment

Based on my rough (and probably inaccurate) math, you'd have to average around 3.75 hours a day to reach 970 hours at this point in the year. Which if accurate, is very impressive.

I would say on avg. I probably put about 5/6 hours of Baseball in on a good day and yes I do play The Show every day. On a day where I really have nothing to do it can climb drastically. Like today. I woke up at 5:30 am walked my dogs, went to the gym and the grocery store. Was home by 9am. Started playing The Show. Right now it is 4:30 and I have stopped playing to walk the dogs and eat lunch and I am getting ready to start another game. So today I have already logged about 6 hours. Snow storm coming and not working until Tuesday so between now and then I will probably avg 8-10 hours a day.Last edited by Bullit; 01-05-2017, 05:35 PM.In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

Seems a little low honestly. I have played The Show and The Witcher pretty much exclusively this year.

Re: MLB The Show 17 Trailer, Retro Mode Details Revealed
Ehhh... I'm probably the definition of a "casual" The Show player. Before MLB16 the last one I bought was MLB13 and I JUST got the hang of hitting on it. So I've been playing that more that 16. But it really shows the depth of the game. Once I get the hang of 16's hitting I know can play more games with the quick counts. As for 17, I'm probably gonna hold unless presentation has a huge blowout; something MLBTVish or even MLB2K. I love the depth the game provides. It's hard but once you get the hang of the mechanics it's rewarding. The graphics are top notch to me as well. I just need the presentation to make that leap to wrap the bow up and keep me coming back.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Trailer, Retro Mode Details Revealed
I wish I could hold out buying the Show until player models and uniforms took a nice clear step forward...but I'm too much of a baseball fan to not purchase the latest game every year. Even if it's half *** (which it isn't) just having the latest rosters, players, and updates is enough for me to buy it. I'd imagine there's a lot of people like this.Comment
