    Current Pricing

    Hi,

    Currently, Gamestop is selling:

    14 - 4.99
    15 - 9.99
    16 - 18.99

For someone who doesn't play online, and based on those prices which year would you get?

    I would get all 3!

Honestly all 3 are good games but I would personally go with '16 as its the latest version and the best out of the 3 in my opinion. Also, a good thing is that you can play '16 until the release of '17 and then transfer your save file over to '17.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Based on those prices, you're paying an extra nine bucks to get all of the features that 16 has to offer. That makes it pretty easy IMO.

          Re: Current Pricing

Here are the biggest differences between each version, at least for me. You can decide what is important to you.

          From 14 to 15:

          - Improved pathing in the outfield for cpu. Before, if a cpu player COULD POSSIBLY catch a drive into the outfield, 99% of the time they WOULD. Very annoying and punished solid contact. 15 solved this.

          - Improved graphics. I know a lot of people say the player models and graphics haven't ever improved, but I found the models and shading in 14 to have a plastic look. Everything looks much more natural in 15.

          - Less rigid animations. While there are further improvements in 16, 15 was the start of their rolling update to the animation system.

          Changes from 15 to 16:

          - Open and Closed options for appropriate stadiums. As a fan of a team that plays in one of those stadiums, this was a very big deal to me.

          - Much improved differentiation in the field. Prior to 16, you could put a player pretty much anywhere in the field without much consequence. 16 added a plethora of animations to fielding, and locked the best animations to players highly skilled in defense. They also added new animations for players playing out of position, making fielding choices matter much more. Your star defensive shortstop will now FEEL much better than other options.

          - Precision input. While there still is a random element, precise inputs by players will now be rewarded more often, while imprecise inputs will be punished more. While it hasn't been tuned to my preference, I found it to be much improved over previous iterations of the show, where I often felt the results were out of my control.

          - PBR. Lighting and reflection has been improved even further, giving materials a much more natural look. Wood will look more like wood, metal more like metal, etc. This is achieved by adding a reflection and refraction value to each individual material. It's what gives materials their unique look in real life, and why you can look at an object and immediately identify it as metal (or wood or plastic). Adding PBR adds immensely to photo-realism.

There you have it. For me I'd say buying 16 is worth it, but hopefully this list helps in your decision.
