RTTS throwing pure analog

Hi, I just started playing RTTS again. Something seems to be wrong with throwing. I have it set to pure analog. I play second base. When I throw to first, I have to move the analog stick to the right. Same with second too, I have to move the stick toward home. I look in the control diagram. It has to rows one for RTTS and it seems to be right. Did I accidentally adjust something on fielding and throwing options? If I did, I can't find a way to switch it back. Any help on this will be much appreciated.

In RTTS, the throwing controls are flipped. To throw it to 2nd, move it down. To throw home, move it up.

Hmm, I guess I must have forgotten. Haven't played RTTS in a while.

Yeah the controls are relative to the direction your player is facing. So a double play is most like down/left instead of up/right.

Just take the diamond and flip it.

But you can change it from fielder's perspective to classic and it will be back to normal. In other words, towards circle is first, Triangle second base etc.

I might have to try buttons because this is really throwing me off. (pun intended [emoji2]) You can't choose this for pure analog by any chance?

Yes you can. I have been using classic analog for years.

Something is not right. I checked controls. Under pure analog throwing. It has two rows the one to the right shows if you move the stick to the left, that should be to first base. I tried this and the throw goes to third. What the heck am I doing wrong?

Ok you are kind of contradicting yourself a little bit here or I am just not understanding your issue.

Playing RTTS if you want the throwing to be more traditional ie. Circle/Right=First Triangle/Up =Second Square/Left = Third and X/Down=Home

Then you need to go into settings,Mode Specific Options and set RTTS Button Mapping to Classic. Whatever throwing mechanic you use, does not matter. You don't have to use buttons you can use analog, but as long as you have button mapping to classic it will work this way.

If you want it to be from your perspective in the field ie Circle/Right is Third etc then set button mapping to Fielder.

Are you playing as a catcher? The flipped controls don't apply to catchers. Otherwise the mappings are flipped (Square instead of Circle for 1st) unless you're using classic.

Edit: misread OP, he's playing 2nd.

I got it right now. I like the fielder perspective. So, when you move stick to left that's first. Last time I played I thought I had it setup that way,
