A stadium creator would definitely get me to buy the game again.

This thread needs to stop going Bold on the home page. My heart can't take the swing of emotions thinking there are actually new details revealed, just to see an original post date of December 19th

It's starting to get that way for me. Obviously we know next to nothing about 17 yet so I'm not going to make assumptions, but my Number 1 want for this game is and Expansion/Relocation/Rebrand type mode, and we've been told how huge of an undertaking it would be to have a good stadium creator, which is understandable, but I'd hate for that to be the reason that it never comes to fruition. As awesome as a stadium creator would be, it's not entirely necessary for that type of mode. I'd be perfectly happy with a Expansion mode without it, and instead have a handful of generic MLB sized parks (like the generic minors parks). I just don't want a complicated stadium creator to keep this game from ever having a true expansion type mode.

But the way this game has been going for the last 3-4 years it doesn't feel like we're gonna get a huge new mode or big visual jump, and instead continue to get incremental improvements to existing modes and lighting tweaks, with heavy focus on DD (again, understandable). But for me, it's getting harder to justify the $60 purchase every year because the game is good enough already that I could just stick with last year's game without feeling like I'm missing too much.

I would love for my mind to be changed with 17, and I still am very much looking forward to getting more information.

It's "next week", I have an itch that needs scratching...

Perhaps another nugget or two this week at some point, if not an initial Twitch schedule.

My advice would be to apply some Gold Bond medicated powder to the area of the itch until at least February when pitchers and catchers report and maybe until the start of spring training.

The goal is go have hype for the game at a crescendo on the day the game is available for sale which is the end of March.

Yeah it's time of year where February no sport is on, (only another boring patriots super bowl) and I start thinking of MLB and the show game.

I have been playing this game for years and I have never been let down. It is hands down in my opinion the best sports game on the market. Madden and 2K are just not there when it comes to in depth franchise. The only wish i have is that inter league schedules change every year. This has been my 1 hope every year in that we are not forced to play the same teams every year. I understand this can cause allot of heartbreak and headaches in the programming department, but if they can fix it to how it is now in real life it would be awesome. As a Texas Ranger fan I want the ability to play all the NL teams in a franchise setting, not just the ones in a certain division year after year

Seeing as franchise has been pretty stale year on year, I have no idea where this comment is coming from. 2K is doing just fine with their series, though, they did overshoot a little with the least one, they are ahead of the game when it comes to graphics and animations.

Madden also seems to be improving quite a bit year on year. I would not really call The Show the best sports game anymore. If anything it's become more or less on target with every sports game out there and none of them differentiate enough to be called the best anymore. Just my opinion.

I think Sony could benefit by giving MLB the Show 16 away as a ps plus title. Alot of Playstation owners complain about not getting a full triple A game and this could be the cure for February. I doubt at this point many people are going to purchase 16 if they haven't already but with 50 million PS4's in the wild this franchise could find new fans. I have never understood why NBA2K is given as a ps plus title before their next release but Sony refuses to push their own very respectable sports title.

Sorry but Madden Killed their game back on madden 12 or 13 whatever it was when they decided to bring in that CFM rubbish, the fact that you gotta spend 30 mins to have 32 team control, and have players all dissapearing because of roster limits is a utter complete joke, it makes roster creating for that game a waste of time because of the amount of players that vanish when you start a franchise up. EA turned that game to a world of Warcraft spots games with RPG aspects, wouldn't be so bad if we were not all FORCED to play that mode only in franchise, at least with the show we have a season mode for those who just want that.

what I wanna see with the show is, a import player option, there was talk a couple of years ago, there is nothing worse then halfway in your franchise and someone is missing from your roster, lets say Ortez was to come back out of retirement in June. we would have no way to import him into the game, we would have to create a fake rookie player for him (if there was one spare) and a old guy would be running for rookie of the year with no career stats. a simple import player option I would LOVE LOVE LOVE. I usually keep a few Vets with service time to try and get around this problem on my roster, and use them to edit if something like that happens. that way they won't go for rookie of the year, and I would just take a camera to see the SCEA player and spend 1 hour making him myself.

I think Franchise we need more storylines too, we used to have the newspapers but that got cut.

I agree that PS Plus-ing The Show 16 wouldn't hurt anyone's bottom line that much. But as far as sales, there usually is a crowd that buys the previous year's sports games at a deep discount and are always a year behind. Also, since The Show is PS4 only now, there are probably still a chunk of users who are just now upgrading to PS4 and may want to pick up MLB 16 to hold them over until MLB 17 releases. I did this with MLB 14 when I got a PS4. I had it on PS3 already, but I bought in on PS4 for 20 bucks to hold me over for 3 months until the new game released.
