Does MLB 16 have HISTORICAL stats or a HISTORY section?

Thinking about buying MLB 16 but before I do I wanted to know did the design team ever add a new feature in the history section or an almanac section where you can view past history and stats in your franchise live boxscores, playoff results, standings , League leaders and any kind of statistical data from season to season over the previous years of your franchise mode?

Is there anything that was improved from previous years that let you view historical data in your franchise from season to season?


If not.....will this be added to mlb 17?

I find it very odd that the sports game that relies the most on statistics and history does not have this included in its franchise mode

Historical year-by-year stats for players are included on player cards. Other than that, it is basically on par with every other console sports game. I assume keeping up with that much data isn't worth the cost of how much space it would take up in the game.

Actually I think this is one area where the Show lags behind other sports franchises. I would like to see stats kept from year to year, splits, team played, currently there is a bug where if a player signs a free agent deal in the off-season his team played for reverts to that team.

There is no way to see the performance of a player when traded.

Accolades are not accumulated on the player card.

I would like to see a system like High Heat had where it tracked hit streaks, 5 hit games etc.

Individual awards like nba2k tracked and team records. I would like to look back and see who won the mvp in 2017 if I am in 2022. What each teams records were those years...

Im sorry but I have to respectfully disagree....NBA 2K Basketball is so far ahead of stats and historical data tracking....and its Franchise stats are deeper as well.

This is baseball....and baseball is all about stats and comparing players over the years as they build their legacies. Baseball is those statistical conversations that you have in the barbershops and at holiday family gatherings. Baseball is ALL about history and the accumulation of statistical data that exists for the very purpose of creating heated debates between fans.

Might as well just call it Season mode because each year of your franchise feels like a series of stitched together single season modes without the historical data, boxscores, standing lookups to reference back to

I agree 2k actually surprised me this year with nba 2k17 in which they included the all-time lists of the NBA's major stats. They even did it for each team. This feature is viewable in every mode except myteam I believe. Like you said 2k has always had the past champions list, previous award winners, and league leaders, which tracks every season since each award or stat keeper was introduced. I would love a all-times list in MLB the show, especially for RTTS, to see our players climb those lists and see where we end up when our careers are done. They also need to add accomplishments to players cards (mvps, rings etc.) 2k has this down solid! Hopefully MLB The Show will one day reach that.

There should no longer be any issue with "space or storage" for all these stats not to be kept.

Just to pile on, I also played numerous games 15 years ago that had more robust stat and history tracking than MLB The Show.

I don't know how many people complete a season or more within one installment of the Show, but with carryover saves, if they could have historical stats that also transfer over with the save files it would be very much worth it, imo.
