There are a few things that have been on my personal wishlist that I'm hoping have made it into franchise mode this year.

I keep telling you they are not going to add a Cardinals win the World Series every year slider.......

Just like they aren't going to add a Nationals make it thru the first round button. Although last year I did make it to the NLCS game 7, but that was probably just a bug.

How about a button that ensures if you have the best record in the Amrican League you get past the first round or avoid a sweep (AKA Rangers). I played 3 seasons last year and in season 3 I made the playoffs as a wild card only to lose in 5 games to the Angels playing on coach mode. I love this game for the realism and graphics. It is so realistic in the way it plays out its almost unbelievable Oh by the way since The Show 07 I still have never won a World Series or even been to one. Maybe 17 is the year for the Rangers just need that button.

This confirms it sadly. Retro mode for "casuals". From the dev himself. This isn't going to be like NBA 2K's Retro Mode folks, where it was about the old school fans, and showcasing the history of the game, adding depth to the experience. This is "easy play" like we saw on Madden years ago. I'm disappointed today.

I guess we can still hope for enough retro content OUTSIDE of the easy play mode to still make it worthwhile!

Me too. In fact Ramone said that maybe they could draw in new fans looking for a little more approachable baseball game similar to the games of old and then maybe have them convert and become fans of the other modes.

Not sure why anyone would expect more than that from retro mode. I'll love retro mode for fun with friends and with my 8 year old but if I want any more than that I'll just go back to the regular game. Retro mode doesn't need to be anything deep or detailed at least for me.

Yeah, I think of Retro Mode as "16-bit/arcade" mode, not "jump into the stands and punch spectators in the face with Ty Cobb" mode. Although come to think of it, that might make a cool mini-game.

Nice find!!

Cant wait to see the other new stances and deliveries... Definitely one of my favorite parts of the game.

Hammel's delivery looked different from 16 too or at least looked more fluid.

Man I'd love to see what this game could look like in native 4k with HDR on the ps4 pro. Don't know if they put any focus towards that this year but it would be a wonderful pleasant surprise if they did!

It doesn't have to be in native 4K but the game must support the PS4 Pro or it cannot be released on the PS4 platform. Obviously Sony could go back on that but they promised every game from here on out would support the PS4 Pro, and it would be a huge blunder if any game did not.
