I bought a PS4 largely because of The Show. First time owning any of the Playstations. Don't regret it one iota. And it helps that my girlfriend loves those Disney games whose name I can't remember...Kingdom something? Anyways, both of us are happy to have a PS4.

The only reason I have kept my ps3 is for pre-14 Show reasons.
In fact I need to hook my ps2 back up and get some original '06 Show innings in, and while I'm at it,
989's last MLB offering (also 2006 but for the 2005 season).

Was a big PS1 and PS2 guy, playing Pennant Race, MLB 2000, etc ASB, World Series Baseball. Did not discover the show until 2006, in the dying days of the PS2. Went with XBOX 360 because the sports games were better made on that system at first. I am always a few years behind, and never buy a console when it first comes out. Stayed with MLB 2K until it died, then after seeing and reading so many good things about the Show, finally decided that the PS3 was cheap enough to get it used (through cowboom) and try it out. Although I chose an XBOX1 (because of my kids, friends, and EA Access), I will miss the Show and continue to game on MLB 16 PS3 for a while until the PS4 prices come down AND Sony ads some significant features (stadium creation and rain delays, mostly), then I will buy a Playstation console solely for the Show once again...

I don't own the PS4, because it has The Show, but I would also buy an XBox if it was only on that platform

So I caved.... I couldn't resist the lure and I bought a PS4 for pretty much just the Show (I'll play games like the Last of Us as well).

I love my X1 and will still play that more, but I just need a baseball game.

Just curious how many others there are in the same boat.

Went from xbox to the PS back in 09 strictly for the MLBTS. Best decision I ever made when it comes to video games, since I only play sports games. Last yr was the 1st yr I didnt buy MLBTS since I started playing it in 09, as money was tight for my wife and I, and I felt there was too many issues with the game to spend money we didnt really have. Hoping Im able to buy 17, as it looks like it has a shot to be the best version yet.
